  1. Thank you Evan dear for sharing this with us.

She is fantastic, and an invaluable role model.

Those of us who are able bodied take everything for granted. And when we may be challenged because of disease or accident, all we have to do is shift thought to the side of gratitude for the completeness we include as God’s children. Then we can remember Jennifer’s refusal to be limited by circumstances beyond her control and we too will succeed step by step, moment by moment.

I cherish this message, thank you.

  2. From the Persian poet Sa’di:

“I never complained of the vicissitudes of fortune, nor suffered my face
to be overcast at the revolution of the heavens, except once, when my
feet were bare, and I had not the means of obtaining shoes. I came to
the chief of Kufah in a state of much dejection, and saw there a man
who had no feet. I returned thanks to God and acknowledged his
mercies, and endured my want of shoes with patience.” – The Gulistan.

She is not only an inspiration but a lesson in gratitude, patient
    perseverance and hope.

Thank you so much for this post.

  3. WOW, thanks so much for sharing this incredibly inspirational story….!!!!

I have been dealing with the negative suggestions of being too old, or its too late to find work in the field that I really want to be in…(filmmaking)…and well hearing jennifers story…has given me the boost to reach for my mostly thought of “impossible dream” of making a living as a filmmaker.

We I have been quested now….if this individual can over come this physical and related psychological “limitations” then why cant I or anyone?

The parents that raised her should be appaulded for teaching, no instilling this concept , this mantra, this Truth to live by….

  4. Thank you, Evan, for this awesome inspiration! It is so wonderful, how demonstrating above a simple word like ‘can’t’, can bring such a joyous, limitless attitude of doing almost anything. Her experience just goes to prove that our thinking Does project us forward or hold us back until we get in accordance with what is really true about our spiritual being which is not limited by any material standards. A very dear friend informed me last night that she had a difficulty with her knee yesterday where she couldn’t walk and is now on crutches. I’ve been trying to hold her close in thought to support her in these challenges. Today’s blog is perfect inspiration in trying to encourage her to keep a positive attitude.
Thank you and all the commenters for sharing. It really helps keep me in tune where thought should be and what a great way to start the day!

  5. How does it get any better than that? Great video, I’ll share this with my vault team next week. Thanks Evan.

  6. There are so many positive stories coming out since the invention of the I-PAD about people overcoming so-called handcaps including my wife Joan who was born with a bad case of Cerebral Palsy and her parents were told to put her into an institution and let die there back in 1932. Myself also, born 1936 with Cerebral Palsy. We both produced productive lives, her becoming an accountant and myself as a Photographer for top secret work filming the first spaceships at Cape Canaveral plus the news program on HUNTLY & BRINKLY TV SHOW back in the early sixties. These accomplishments were made when people had the attitude that handicap people couldn’t make it.

  7. In this weeks lesson we read. . “Mind is the master of the corporeal senses and can conquer sickness sin and death. Exercise this God given authority. Take possession of your body and govern its feeling and action. This young lady didn’t need to read this for it was divinely natural for her.

  8. Thank you Evan and thank you to all. Several years ago I realized that my fall was correlated with so many I can’ts. I regretted and since then I started to be or join in good activities I thought was scary to do. This is really very inspiring.

  9. This is so inspiring. Breath taking. Such a grand testimony and demonstration of
“HOW GREAT THOU ART!” Have shared this with many!

  10. Thanks so much for this! With no mortal mind negative input growing up, she had a wonderful opportunity. Very uplifting!

  11. Wow! What a fantastic story! I’m sure there are many more wonderful things in store for this amazing young woman!
