  1. I think as we deepen our understanding of who we are and that all is good, our giving grows and grows. I feel it is a testimony to all Goodness and God.

  2. I Love that, Evan! Thank you! And often I remind myself that All I can do is express Love……because it’s a scientific divine fact that “Love is reflected in love.”

  3. Reminds me that the free gift of forgiveness – seeing the reality of truth where error appears – is an act of love I can give over and over every day and it never runs out!

  4. What joy there is when one can GIVE something tangible or intangible to someone. An unexpected plate of homemade cookies for a recent widower, a compliment to the gardener who keeps the grounds of a large edifice beautifully groomed, a verse from the Bible for someone (maybe in a line and just casually visiting together)—and the person tears up and
says, “thank you, how did you know I needed to hear that?” A genuine smile to an oncoming,
unknown person, a smile and a thumbs up to a policer officer—all of these gestures, if genuinely sent from the depths of one’s desire to reflect God’s all encompassing love for everyone, bring a joy that cannot be matched. No one needs to know except the “giver” and that is enough. Bringing God’s love to anyone results in great inner joy. I call it a “Thank you, God, for always being there for everyone and showing me how to share your love.”

  5. This quote reminded me of the necessity to always “translate” what I read and hear so that it coincides with what Christian Science teaches. For example, this quote has the positive aspect of encouraging people to express love to others, but it could also leave one with the subtle negative idea that we have to “work our way up to heaven”. I was in another country not long ago where the predominant religion taught that we have to “earn” points toward getting to heaven by doing xx number of good deeds in our life. That experience alerted me to the need to be ever conscious that I am created and maintained by God *now* and I am God’s reflection…and therefore I have and can see harmony (heaven) in my experience right now and at all times. Because of being always supplied with good from God, I can also know that I always have what I need to provide charity to others. That’s a wonderful idea to take from this quote, isn’t it?

  6. What a lovely thought. Yes we do experience heaven here and now in our acts of Charity. Giving is so very wonderful and it brings umpteen joy to the giver, much more than the receiver. One feels uplifted and happy in his/her acts of charity, for sure. Thanks Evan and you must be the happiest person, cause you share such lovely ideas with us on a regular basis.
