Let God do it

“I know that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; God has done this, so that all should stand in awe before him.”

~ Ecclesiastes 3:14, NRSV

This truism is a healthy guide to human activity that bears long term good results.

When human will is involved, the outcome can be short term, and even result in bad outcomes.

When God’s will is allowed to unfold, the outcome is good and lasts forever.

  1. This is the hardest task of all. Getting out of my own way and letting God guide. In fact, just being open enough throughout the day to listen to his guidance. Yet it is the most important task that I could do to make life better for myself and those with whom I come into contact.

  2. My human effort is to forget the whims and desires of TOBIAS stand aside and letting God’s will materialize.

    1. Well said Lori – this is indeed so true! If we ask God for guidance, we must then let go and let God perform His divine unfoldment.

God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than ours.
