Think on all that goes right

January 22, 2018 | 15 comments

If you’re ever tempted to think about all the things going wrong in your life, then it’s time to think about all the things that are going well!

No matter what lack is staring you in the face, God is present with a supply that takes that sense of lack away.

For instance, if you’re stumped on how to proceed with a project at work, then spend a few moments being grateful for those inspired ideas coming from God that are going to solve your problem.

If you’re fighting with another person, then stop for a few moments and be grateful for your God-given ability to forgive that other person and take note of their good qualities.

If facing a large debt, step out of panic-mode and be grateful for the wisdom, keen insight, and creative ideas coming from God that are going to show you how to pay that debt and demonstrate financial dominion.

If struggling with a health problem, mentally step out of the body and acknowledge that you have a perfect spiritual being at-one with God that is in perfect health now where everything is going well.

No matter how bad mortal mind makes life’s options look, there is always help coming from God that can turn that situation around and reveal progressive possibilities.

To stay on a path of progress, it’s wise to not let mortal mind cast a mesmeric pall over one’s sense of possibility. We are to distrust mortal mind and trust divine Mind.

Divine Mind beholds everything that is going right, and in the realm of divine Mind, everything is going right. When we stay in the Mind of God with our prayers, we find the help of God, and conditions improve.

Because of God, helpful ideas are flowing, love is active, supply is present, health is secure, and life is good.

Choose to side with the right and turn a perceived bad situation into a much better one.

From the Apostle Paul,

“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you” Phil. 4:8,9, NLT.

  1. Thank you Evan! What lovely thoughts to start the new week with. Bless you for your lovely messages of encouragement. It’s so easy at the end of the day to focus on the one thing that went wrong in it, instead of the 99 things that went right! Isn’t that so true of the news we hear too, so much bad news when really there is so much good going on but it doesn’t hit the headlines! Focus on the good as St Paul tells us. Have a great day!

  2. What a beautiful post, directly addressing the issues we face. The following words of strength from your post, are so encouraging Evan. “Because of God, helpful ideas are flowing, love is active, supply is present, health is secure, and life is good. Choose to side with the right and turn a perceived bad situation into a much better one.”
I loved Dilys comment…Thanks for bringing out the fact that the 99 things which go right are so easily forgotten and only the one thing that went wrong…looms large. Here gratitude plays a vital role.. In the midst of a problem if we count our blessings and be grateful with all our heart, the unsolved problem gets resolved very soon…That’s the power of gratitude.
Thanks Evan for the words of encouragement viz. to side with Truth and win. Never to listen to mortal mind which always gives a grim picture. No matter what lack we face, God’s supply meets all our needs richly.

  3. Thank you, Evan, for this comprehensive look into Truth. Your thought is inspiration for all of us fortunate enough to have found your blog. There is nowhere for error to hide if this one is applied to my life, you really have covered all the bases!

  4. Well Evan, you are forcing me to get a bigger book to place these post for quick review. I can feel the warm loving guidance accompanying this expression of love. Thank you.

  5. Dear Evan,

Just now I was reading in Science and Health page 201 (Footsteps of Truth), where it says,
“The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth on flood-tides of Love.”
I was pondering how we go about achieving this, and your thought for those struggling with a health problem is just what I needed to know.

love to you and all fellow Spirit-viewers!

  6. I sit alone
    and hear the
    raindrops fall
    and I wonder
    how many hear,
    in each drop
    the the rain invites
    a Call….

    A call to harmony
    inviting you in…
    A call to see..
    The face
    and sing the hymn

  7. Thank you so much for reminding us of this Common Sense truth which can make such a difference when we practice it. I truly appreciate your helpful posts which always seem to come at just the right time.

  8. Thank you dear Evan – I too, how do I need your inspired and inspiring truth thoughts! 🙂

I still have to read today`s SpiritView several more times this evening (oh in Germany it is evening already). Oh I had a situation you mentioned in this SV. When that person was out of the room, I prayed what to do and the right thought came “be still and know that I am God”.

Thanks very much to all for your wonderful comments – nice poem, Maximo, thank you.

  9. I think of what my wonderful C.S. teacher, John Wyndham, said constantly, “Your thinking determines your experience.” I’m truly grateful for that wise counsel.

  10. Deb, this message from Evan is so timely for all our family. Include it in your daily coming and going.

    Carm
