No serious problems

Sometimes I hear people say, “I have a serious problem.” My first response is usually along the lines of, “With God, there are no serious problems. Only serious Truth.”

So, don’t let mortal mind convince you that a problem can be “serious.” It’s error, and Truth gets rid of it.

Enjoy some “serious” Truth today and be well!

This makes me think that we need to decide what does “serious” really mean to us? In this context, I think a person is saying ” I really believe this thing is true”…if you rang a practitioner or friend for help, would it be for something that you didn’t actually think was true or had any power over you? Probably not.
MBE writes “In Christian Science, man can do no harm, for scientific thoughts are true thoughts, passing from God to man. ” so I guess what we should be asking ourselves regarding the seriousness of any problem could be “Does GOD think this is serious or do I? Did God give me the ability to fear what I do not understand?”
In Timothy we read, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Well I won’t go on but just a thought that occurred when I read your very thought-provoking post, Evan.

nothing to add to today`s SpiritView – wonderful – Truth gets rid of error – in our thinking, because in reality there can`t be error (this word itself says what it is, an e r r o r , nothing).

Thank you dear Evan, and will enjoy some “serious” Truth day – looking forward to it!

Very interesting to think about. Why do we so easily think and talk about “serious trouble”? I can’t ever remember anyone saying, “Serious good,” or “That’s some serious Truth.” Food for some serious, “Truth thinking.” Thank you.

Humans grade,–evaluate–everything. Hard not to be “human!” But, through this
amazing knowledge of truth (Divine Science), we have a way to peer through our
(false) conclusions, based on the evidence of the five senses. After all, we do know that
these senses do not present the facts; cannot. Sense evidence can only be interpreted by
mind, human or…divine. And, through this discovery of Truth, we arrive at true interpretations!
    Whew!

A stubbed toe is a “small” problem.
A car accident is a “big” problem.
In truth, they are both illusions. But this is a huge statement, and not to be tossed
out lightly, irresponsibly. We are pioneers, and must be cautious and very wise in our words and actions.

What a privilege we have, to prove the truth is true!

Thanks, Evan, for your encouragement, reminders, insights, inspiration!
And Commenters: I always enjoy and appreciate yours, as well.

I believe it was a CS Lecturer who once said something like “A dream of an elephant is no more real than a dream of a mouse.” 🙂

2 plus 2 always equals 4, and nothing else! So any other answer is totally erroneous, untrue, never part of our equation. 🙂

I read Spiritview first this AM before reading this week’s lesson on Life. (I can hardly wait to read Evan’s) words. When I read the lesson the following Psalm stood out to me–how to “get serious on Truth” and how to do it.
Section 1——–Psalms 118:24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Rejoice, be glad in all you do.Gratitude for God can replace so much erroneous thinking…and supplant it with Truth..

Thanks, Diane, for sharing your thoughts, and everyone. The first thought that came to me is that a big zero is no more important than a small zero – both are absolutely nothing. ALL error is nothing, just the absence of Truth!

I always think of our checkbook; if there’s been a mistake and it doesn’t balance with what the bank says, you back to the beginning, do the math correctly, and all is well. Same with these so-called problems, whether they be $10,000 or $10 errors, you go back to the beginning. Start with God, and reason from there. The error (big or small) is found to be nothing, and all is well..
