‘Tis the season to defend consciousness from fears of flu!
A word to the wise: it’s better to do it ahead of time, so you don’t have to battle it later.
Mary Baker Eddy wisely wrote,
“Sin and disease must be thought before they can be manifested. You must control evil thoughts in the first instance, or they will control you in the second” (Science and Health, p. 234).
Truth understood controls the “evil thoughts in the first instance.”
So, gird up your loins! Rise in a consciousness of Truth to the reality that you live in an atmosphere of Love divine where the peace and harmony of God circulate abundantly and are felt and experienced at all times.
Health is your reality; not disease.
Love is your protector.
There is no dangerous germ or virus in Love’s omnipresence, and thus there is nothing to fear; only Love’s love to soak in and enjoy.
Eddy also wrote,
“At a time of contagious disease, Christian Scientists endeavor to rise in consciousness to the true sense of the omnipotence of Life, Truth, and Love, and this great fact in Christian Science realized will stop a contagion.” Miscellany, p. 116.
Rise to a true sense of the omnipotence of Life and Love and stay healthy! Only God’s good is coming your way…

In Science and Health on p. 418 it is written: “Include moral as well as physical belief in your efforts to destroy error”. How can a physical belief help in destroying error?

I am 76 years old and never had the Flu. Very simple protection I think about this ever since I was 50 years old. “IT FLEW IN TO FLY OUT, NEVER LANDING ON ME.” One could use the same idea when the news media speaks about financial woe. “I and my fellow beings can never be deprived of the substance that’s necessary for life.”
dear Tobias thank you for your quote, which I shall use. I was healed of flu and colds in 1964, and have been free of them since. At the first suggestion of such, I ask myself, “What is influencing me?” And it always exposes any wrong thought, which I dismiss.
I dismissed calendars and age numbers about that time also.
