Yes, being humble and meek doesn’t mean being a doormat or a church mouse or a lab rat, serviceable as the former is, and adorable as the latter two are! 🙂
The other day someone new to me identified herself as a “controlling” person. Before I could blink, she had none-too-subtly given me two “assignments.” The first one I did because I wanted to thank the same person she did; in answer to the second, I referred her to a website so she could pursue the answer if she wanted to.
More importantly, I declared to myself that God’s man CANNOT be controlling — or controlled by the human mind (one’s own or another’s).
