Be filled with Spirit

August 26, 2024 | 23 comments

Be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

~ Ephesians 5:18,19

For a grand day, let the Spirit of Love fill your mind and heart with gratitude and joy.

Refuse to indulge mortal mind ways of thinking.  Grumpiness, selfishness, apathy, ingratitude, callousness, complaint, are all enemies to success.  Stay far away from them!  They are not your friends.

Tune into Spirit.

Spirit is a constant source of inspiration and joy.

As you tune your ear heavenward, angel messages of truth and love will come your way and brighten your day.

Fill with the inspiration of Spirit and live joyously!

  2. Thank you Evan!
The picture made me think of ..’the water of life… which is of course spiritual inspiration..
So refreshing for the beginning of our week❣️

  3. Today’s Christian Science Daily Lift is “Songs in the night”
I don’t know how to attach it for those who do not receive it.
    Happy day singing.
SpiritView sings each time we receive it.
    Thanks Evan

    1. Within the United States, there are toll free phone numbers which people can call to hear the Bible Lesson, the Sentinel watch interview, and the daily lift. The phone number in California includes the Spanish Herold In Spanish. The one in Texas and Massachusetts does not.. (323) 805-8700. (713) 595-5210. (630) 929-5635. The last one gives more information for subscribing to the Christian science periodicals.

  4. Thank you Evan. What inspiring thoughts to begin the week. It reminds me to be a ‘doer of the word and not just a hearer.’ from James 1:23

Have a blessed week to everyone!

  5. thank you, Evan, for the wonderful thought. a great way to start the week. I love the picture of the water, over flowing, so beautiful!

  6. Hymn p 64
“The dawn of all things real is breaking o’er
    me,
My heart is singing: I have found the way.”

    A singing heart ❤️

  7. Thank you. May the beautiful cup runneth over with clean fresh supply most expected, protected, and useful ideas , tuning into gratitude. Amen.

  8. So many wonderful thoughts come to mind with this beautiful inspirational message
today! Thank you so much Evan and all for this lovely refreshment. I love the quote
from Ephesians. And MB, “My heart is singing; I have found the way” – So touching.
And Maude, your comment reminds me of Psalm 23, “He leadeth me beside the still
waters”. Mrs. Eddy’s Pond and Purpose also blesses us with the spiritual ablution of
water’s healing metaphysics. She writes, “As you journey, and betimes sigh for rest
“beside the still waters”, ponder this lesson of love. Learn its purpose; and in hope
and faith, where heart meets heart reciprocally blest, drink with me the living waters
of the spirit of my life-purpose, – to impress humanity with the genuine recognition of
practical, operative Christian Science.” The world definitely needs this wonderful
    way of loving and living.

  9. Thank you dear Evan and Everyone. In Prose Works by Mrs. Eddy .. she writes on
pg. 14 of Pulpit and Press: “Millions of unprejudiced minds – simple seekers for Truth,
weary wanderers, athirst in the desert – are waiting and watching for rest and drink.
Give them a cup of cold water in Christ’s name, and never fear the consequences.” …
and “The waters will be pacified, and Christ will command the wave”.
The waters of inspiration, like radio waves, are there when we tune in to Spirit.
Spirit quenches our thirst for God’s Truth and the Christ is with us all of the time,
like water in our tap … just waiting for us to turn on the spigot.

    1. Thank you, dear Carol for your loving comment. At times when I worked as Readingroom Assistent in my branchchurch I had these words from Mrs. Eddy’s textbook in my mind to “give every visitor a cup of cold water in Christ’s name and never fear the consequences.” Thanks a lot for the reminder of this wonderful passage from SH.
In your last sentence, what is meant with the word “spigot”. Can’t find it in my dictionary.

      1. Thank you, sweet Uta for your Reading Room work and for your lovely
comment to me. I looked up spigot, thinking maybe I had misspelled
it, but it is another word for “(US – meaning) : a faucet.” It controls water
flow, when turned on, like a kitchen faucet. But unlike a kitchen faucet,
which needs to be turned on and off, Spirit/God, is constantly pouring
forth good thoughts of comfort and love to us all of the time. : )

        1. Thank you dear Carol for your interesting explanations. All the other words you mention instead of “spigot” I never heard of. But the word “tap” which Pete from Australia mentions is familiar to me. Thank you Pete!

          1. Yes, thanks, Pete! Didn’t see your coment when I was
typing mine, but “tap” is all there is – for you, Uta. Forget
the other words – they mean nothing. Tap alon is a good
answer. Glad it is clarified for you and you now understand.

  10. Thank you very much, dear Evan for the blessing advice “to be filled with Spirit.” And further down you propose “Tune into Spirit” and I would like to ad “Tune into Spirit and Love.” Yes, the whole day I prayed to tune my ear heavenward, and indeed angel messages of Truth and Love came my way and brightened my God’s Day! I could arrange a few fruitful appointments for this week. And for one task I found a perfect and loving solution after a nice talk with a friend!

I love this inspiring SpiritView community including Evan and the Christ and our dear God and Mrs. Eddy for the daily overflowing cup of spiritually refreshing cold water very much!♡

  11. Sending my love to all who commented, the lift up was super, as we were never created as material solid men and women, we are created in GOD’s image and likeness, not material at all. We’re reflections, tuning into God’s message, loving, productive, spiritual reflections, inspired, investigating all of God’s angel messages, which expand our being, spiritually, Singing lifts each of us up higher, while LOVE leads the way. Thanks everyone for their expression of Love, Peace, Joy, and Power

  12. Thank you Evan, thank you all for the precious inspiration
That takes shape in our mind, the Spirit of living God.
