  1. Joan, I think sometimes Evan just gives us a quote. Is that correct, Evan? They always make us think!
The title is the gem in this blog, if you ask me!
    ALWAYS SAFE WHEN HONEST!

  2. Good Morning. The quotation that Jesus said came to my mind. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. A promise to reflect. Thanks Evan and everyone’s comments enrich me a lot. They are angels !!

  3. God is Truth and Truth is powerful.
Thanks Evan for this simple but oh so honest, quote today…caydee

  4. Our highest obligation to self-existent being, Divine Love, is purity of motive. When honest we aligned most with directly with that intelligent presence where all is in harmonious concert. Not so when we look through the material lens where the truth is hidden in misaligned intentions that only come back to haunt us with unrealized implications. Thus the snap back captures our attention with often extreme unintended consequences which can only be corrected by correct spiritual understanding.

  5. Safety is ensured when one is honest to the core.. Mary Baker Eddy the discoverer of Divine Science or Christian Science clearly mentions that even a white lie is never justified. “Honesty is the best policy.” “Honesty is spiritual power. Dishonesty is human weakness and forfeits divine help”. Only if you are honest and good expect God’s help and safety, though GOD IS GOOD.
Stretching the truth in other words is not being on the side of truth and siding with wrong or dishonesty. When we do this we are severely HIT back. So beware… watch out for the snap back.. Don’t you stretch the truth.
Since TRUTH is a synonym for God. Siding with a lie is not permissible and one can not get away with it. It certainly hits back at you and you are not in the SAFE ZONE.
SIDE WITH TRUTH (GOD) AND YOU WIN, YOU ARE PROTECTED.

  6. Thank you, Evan for the quote from Bill Copeland today. A simple but profound way to live and think. It reminds us of Mrs. Eddy’s statement:

“The devotion of thought to an honest achievement makes the achievement possible. Exceptions only confirm this rule, proving that failure is occasioned by a too feeble faith” (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 199).

  7. We have all stretched the truth
It’s part of the illusion we live
    while believing we are separated
    from God…
The snap back is a blessing

    1. Maximo, what is a snap back – and why is a snap back a blessing.
Would you kindly explain it to me?

      1. Well, I guess I am always thankful
for a rebukement when my thought strays.
So I look at it as a blessing because it
is an opportunity to correct course
and to learn in real time.
Some people wear a rubber band
on their wrist and snap it when they
        have an undesirable thought and
thus modify their behavior…. funny but true

        1. understand you, what you explained, and its interesting the funny thing with the rubber band – thank you very much, Maximo 😉

  8. To the extent we are in belief
of any part of the illusion
    we are stretching the truth.
It is sin because it is error.
Doubt any of us are completely free
    of error
We are on our way though
    In the meantime, compassion
and forgiveness replaces error as we learn thru science and prayer

  9. Oh, well, must admit that I am not completely free of stretching the truth, which is a white lie, what I meanwhile understand.

But what is a snap back – could not find it in any german-english-german dictionary.

Is it like a mousetrap, or so?

I work on it to become better in praying the Daily Prayer from Mary Baker Eddy – specially the part where it says “… and may rule out of me a l l sin.”

Thank you Evan that we can comment this important theme.

  10. Hi Uta. To me snapback means backlash. Like if you tell a lie or stretch the truth then it rebounds on you.

  11. Dear Uta,

“Snap back” is also possible to be understood as:

    F alse

    E vidence

    A ppearing

    R eal

Just another way of saying FEAR, nothing real or true there, the wake up is the SNAP BACK

  12. Hi, dear Linda, I understand your explanation, that the white lie I told comes back to me as false – thank you so much 😉

    Hi dear Chilesands,
Oh, so good, a very different but so clear explanation – I do understand that very well – vey helpful – thanks a lot 😉

    Oh, hi dear Shireen,
those are german words, and I do understand them in relation to our today`s topic – thanks awfully.

Oh, I am so grateful for all your loving help to understand today`s SpiritView – thank you SV-friends! 😉
