It’s Thanksgiving Day in the United States.
I love this day. It reminds me to be extra grateful for all the blessings God has bestowed on my family, my community, my church, and on the world.
With daily headlines of economic strain and strife around the globe, budgets slashed hither and yon, and people struggling to find work, it can be tempting to think, “There is nothing to be grateful for.” But this is never true. There is always something to be grateful for, and it is crucial to success and prosperity that those blessings are remembered, recounted, acknowledged, and rejoiced over.
No matter how humble our social or economic status is, we can always find something to be grateful for.
As Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more.”
And near the top of my gratitude list today is gratitude for you, my blog readers! It’s been a genuine privilege to share with you, benefit from your feedback, and grow together in life’s spiritual lessons.
Happy Thanksgiving!
– Evan

Evan, Every morning before I leave for work I read your words of inspiration. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful messages you have shared. You have certainly helped me grow in my understanding of God’s infinite goodness. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I’ve not commented before, but I do read your comments everyday(am in England) and always appreciate them. I regularly print them off and put them in a folder to keep – they are often exactly what I need to hear. Thank you so much Evan.

Hey! I heard a great new (to me) term in the solo at church this morning.
“Thanksliving”. Kind of goes with what you are saying!
Happy day everyone.
Thank you Evan and Happy Thanksgiving from Australia
Thanks Evan for all the helpful ideas and thoughts you share. They are so precious.
I actually sang the solo with “Thanksliving” today. It’s a goodie! It’s called “Song of Thanksgiving”.
Thanks again for all your wonderful posts. peggy
Dear Evan, You are such a shining example of someone who is in THE PRACTICE. I have heard you as a lecturer and … your child-like, light-hearted yet very developed spirituality is such a great example. With much gratitude – T

Thanks to you, too, Evan! You are feeding the multitudes with your blogs…the ideas are taken by each one, shared again, and again. Spiritual nuggets that satisfy our hungering and thirsting after righteousness and we are filled!
