Whom are you working for?

Build your own dreams,

or someone else will hire you to build theirs.

~ Farrah Gray

When other people’s ideals are common to ours, it can be to our benefit to jump in and become part of the success. But sometimes people lose vision for their life and allow themselves to become working robots for another’s agenda.
That can be okay, to a degree, if the agenda being worked out is virtuous, but on the other hand, it’s not really that enjoyable to be a “robot.” Machines can do that work.
What’s your vision? Are you working it out?

  1. Hello Evan, I look forward to reading your column every day!

Today I decided to let you know how important your sharing is to so many who may not always comment, but for whom your column is a daily inspiration!

Hear, hear to each of us taking courage to work out our own vision, both for ourselves and for others!

    Best Wishes

  2. Steve Pressfield, in his books “The War of Art” and “Turning Pro” calls these “shadow careers” – things we do that seem similar to our real dream(s), but aren’t our real dreams. He says that we often follow shadow careers out of fear, and names “Resistance” as the culprit.
