Do you realize that you can think right, even when it feels like you can’t?
It’s a subtle perversion of the mortal mind to convince a human that they have no choice but to be depressed, fearful, mean or sick, even if they don’t want to be.
But the reality is that God created us with the ability to think right. As reflections of the one Mind that thinks for itself, we have the ability to “think for ourselves too.”
We are under no obligation to think wrong.
There is no mental dictator forcing us to think wrong.
There is no power apart from God that requires us to be demoralized, sinful, or uncaring. As children of God, we can stand up for our spiritual rights and consciously decide to think right.
We can love! We can be moral. We can forgive. We can agree with spiritual truth.
We can drop hate, conquer sin, choose the good and reform.
We are never helpless.
We reflect God’s conscious ability to make sound decisions and moral loving choices.
So, if you’re feeling down, hopeless or forlorn, you can change course immediately, and think in alignment with Truth and Love. The one Mind empowers you to be a spiritual and moral thinker.
You have permission to think right today!
I woke up in a great deal of pain. I tried to treat myself, but couldn’t seem to focus. I thought, I’ll look online for inspiration – and was led immediately to this message. How perfect!
Thanks for sharing this, and all the other ones as well. It’s great to be able to turn to them for inspiration at any time of night or day!
Yes of course, as the reflections of the one Divine Mind we have the ability to think and act rightly. You say it so well Evan, that we can drop hate, conquer sin, choose the good and reform. We are never helpless. God empowers us to make sound decisions, so there is no mental dictator forcing us to think wrong. If you align your thoughts with God, tune in to what God is conveying, you can never go wrong. God alone inspires, illumines, designates and leads the way. There is none else. Thanks Evan, for this lovey inspiration.
I check SpiritView almost daily and am always enriched. Just thought I’d weigh in with appreciation today. Thank you.
All your post are so right for the moment and helpful. Thank you Evan. I look forward to these post daily and enjoy reading the comments as well.
Pul. 3:7-9 Know, then, that you possess sovereign power to think and act rightly, and that nothing can dispossess you of this heritage and trespass on Love.
Mary Baker Eddy (from Pulpit and Press)
Excellent!
Thank you. no need to go anywhere but the present. nothing to work toward but deciding where you want to live and who you truly are. thanks again.
I have been reading, “Paths of Pioneer Christian Scientists”, a book put out by the Longyear Museum Press, and about Emma Thompson, one of Mrs. Eddy’s early and prized Healers! In one of her accounts she tells about how she was up against a lot of strong resistance to Christian Science Healing and how Mrs. Eddy helped her to see that she had the understanding and strength to see right through the mesmeric thought and to claim her freedom to Think and Act Rightly, knowing there is Only One Mind, God, Good! It works! We can claim our Freedom to Think Rightly….it’s our God-given Right!
Thanks Evan. Very inspiring and very needed.
These inspiring Spiritview “talks” and the comments give me such a lift—give me strength to overcome the fears that try to creep in. I am uplifted/encouraged onward by every article, every blog, every loving thought. My gratitude reaches out to all.
Thanks so much, Evan, for this inspiring and helpful message and to everyone who has taken the time to comment. I am so grateful for all of these daily inspirations!
I remember feeling in a terrible mental funk one afternoon. As I tired of its company, I thought what I need is a mind transplant, to bad it’s not possible. The angel message followed immediately “Ah, but a transforming of the Mind to what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God is. Immediately the clouds of darkness evaporated leaving joy and gratitude to companion with. I am so grateful for the Bible and Science and Health, and Spirit View to remind us we are always at liberty to be the joyous child of God. Thank you Evan and all of you for your comments.
Thanks. So many good thoughts to wrap up in!
Love this message! Have you ever given a complimennt and then been given a list of reasons why the person doesn’t feel they deserve it? Or worse, have you been given a compliment and refuted it right away? No one feels good when that occurs. Compliments affirm our true self-hood! “You are beautiful, kind, always happy, so helpful, etc. ” deserves a heartfelt “thank you” followed by “I’m so glad you see that in me ” or “wow I was thinking the same thing about you!”
We deserve to feel good, see others feeling good, and affirm it constantly! Thank you for the loving post.
Hearing about one of my nurse aides having to go through a medical operation to remove a vital woman’s organ, I prayed for the medical team not to fall for that false conclusion and it worked. She didn’t have to go through that operation.
Thank you! Wonderful ideas.
