Are you happy with who you are? You should be.
If you are looking at yourself correctly, you’re beholding an incredibly brilliant, intelligent, stunning and worthy creation of God.
You are God’s image.
You are beautiful in Spirit. You have perfect outline, shape and form in Soul. You are strong and able in Life. You are invincible in Truth. You are loved and valued in divine Love. You are special in God’s eyes. You are needed in the universal scheme of things.
There is no one else who can be you, and you wouldn’t want to be anyone else, because you are already the best you possible. God made you perfect just the way you are.
You are not a flawed mortal, an ailing physical body, or unsightly figure. You are God’s idea, God’s creation, God’s reflection.
You can’t be found in matter, because you are not there. You are in Spirit, where you live, move and have being. Spirit defines you, and the resulting design is stupendously good.
So, feel free to love yourself—your real self, your spiritual self, the only self! And be happy with who you are. God is.

There is a truism in the saying and I paraphrase; “One can not like others if one doesn’t like themselves.”
This nip and tuck of beautifying their mortal bodies to make oneself more presentable is dangerous for they are denying God’s creative perfection of their own being. I not only like myself but I also love myself which enables me to love and like others.
This is a splendid message fo me. Christian Science daily teaches me to value God’s precious creation, me.
As I realize I’m so necessary in God’s plan of things I see that, as God’s perfect reflection I’m here to shine .

“Identity is the reflection of Spirit, the reflection in multifarious forms of the living Principle, Love.” Science and Health, p. 477.
I ponder this often, as I see human challenges to be mainly, if not entirely, based on the problem of identity.
We are scientists. This explanation of our true identity is the scientific fact of being. And, held in thought, it goes to work on the non-fact of our being anything else. There are not two kinds of man, only one: God’s identity, reflected in man and the universe.

I jump when I am asked if I love myself or think highly of myself. When you bring that thought home I do not understand why it is so hard to accept that you are God’s beloved child and reflect and embrace all the qualities of God. I seem to understand that all that is true is good and the one Mind’s creation but I don’t think of it in terms of myself. I think that is mortal mind speaking and enough identifying with that nonsense!
Love thy neighbor as thyself. You can’t love your neighbor unless you know how to love yourself. It works hand in hand. But part of your sense is correct, that it can’t be a selfish love, but an unselfish love…honoring, seeing and appreciating what God made you to be. It’s absolutely brilliant and wonderful!
