Figure out the spiritual reason why you feel better

May 23, 2016 | 12 comments

When you start to feel better after struggling with a health problem, do you figure out the spiritual reason why you feel better? If not, it’s a good idea to follow through and seek out that understanding for it will benefit you in the future.

Every experience we have in life serves to teach us a valuable spiritual lesson. The sooner we learn that lesson and make it our own, the more likely we will not have to repeat that lesson. We can continue to advance down the path of progress.

It’s like a child learning to add in first grade and is ready to move onto second grade. If the lessons are learned well, they do not have to go back and repeat them. They are ready to move on to higher demonstrations of intelligence.

In the pathway of life, here on earth, we all have many spiritual lessons to learn to fully understand our relationship to God and what role we play in the universal scheme of things. And these lessons are often learned through experience.

Every experience, whether we like it or not, is teaching us some valuable spiritual lesson that can make us a better person when embraced.

So, don’t take recovery from illness, or any other struggle in life, lightly. There was a blessing there to reap. What was the blessing? What was God teaching you that takes your thought to a higher level of spiritual understanding?

Seek out answers to these questions and you’ll find yourself advancing down the path of progress without limit.

  1. A new idea for me…figuring out the spiritual lesson from an experience. What did I learn about God (and His universe) from this experience? It’s going to take some thinking about this, but just love the idea! Thanks, Evan!

  2. Oh, I like that, Evan! Of course! Our Earth Experience is like being in a School – we are here to learn and grow spiritually! Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in the Events themselves, instead of taking the “Spirit View” and seeing what Lesson we are learning and then to express Gratitude for the opportunity to grow! Sometimes, (thru clenched teeth) I’ve said, “Guess what I get to learn!” Smile……!!

  3. My favorite quotes. I inscribed the second quote on my tool box that I used in my remodeling business at its inception. I found this very helpful. As usual, excellent post and comments.

  4. What a great idea Evan! Companies that have teams of people working on projects often have a “lessons learned” meeting at the end of a project in order to reinforce the things that were learned. In the practice of spiritual healing through Christian Science, I’m thinking that focusing on the spiritual lesson learned will help eliminate a feeling of being “scarred” from some negative situation that we have overcome via knowing the truth (i.e. it will leave us remembering the truth instead of the negative experience).

  5. Thanks, Evan, for this great reminder. I agree with all of the comments, and thanks to everyone for sharing!

  6. Hah! Yesterday I (mildly) reacted to a yard worker at Home Depot’s
condescending remark to me about where I put my keys (large fluff ball with
numerous keys…hard to lose)…(in the cart). I found out a short while later
why I should have simply thanked him for the reminder. When I unloaded my
garden items into the trunk of my car, I put the keys down in there (!) and then …
shut the lid! Everything locked inside the car! Phone, purse, etc. Rather than get
angry with myself, though, I thought: Hmmmm…OK, this lesson is clear: always
(always) say/do the loving/and wise thing!

Our dear divine intelligence is gently leading us all in the Right Path.
    Thank You, God!

    :<))

  7. Thank you, SpiritView Fan, for telling that story on yourself. It’s going to help a lot of us – a good reminder going forward! Bless You!!

  8. I’m facing a health issue my self but I’m trusting the healing powers of Jesus thought it God is always there also when we go through things it helps us rely on god

  9. You have asked very meaningful questions. I will ask the questions in prayer and wait for God’s answers. Thank you for your guidance!

  10. Good morning Evan. This sentence – “What was the blessing? What was God teaching you that takes your thought to a higher level of spiritual understanding?” My daughter recently had a second miscarriage and told me she is angry with God. What lesson is there to learn here for her?

    1. Hi Janis,

My heart goes out to your daughter. I can’t say for sure what her particular blessing is to come out of that experience, although I can say for certain that God did not cause the miscarriage, or have anything to do with it. If she wants to get angry, it should be with evil, not with God. God only causes good things to happen. And perhaps part of the blessing is understanding that the bad experience of a miscarriage is not the end of good in her life. That she can move on and triumph over this misfortune with God’s help and have a full pregnancy.
