  1. I have woken this morning to the dreadful news of a suicide bomb attack on a concert venue in Manchester which is not far from me. I then read in this week’s wonderful Bible Lesson of the absolute inability of evil to overthrow the power of God. The thoughts contained in this BL are my safe harbor today and I pray all those involved can feel the power of the Spirit to shelter them and support them.

  2. So true Evan…We need to know in which direction we are taking our life to, what exactly do we aim in life and then accordingly move in that direction and acquire the desired purpose or goal, which we strive for….Else we land up nowhere, boredom and frustration sets in. In such a case one can not complain or blame anyone for landing up nowhere. So similar to the man who does not know what harbor he is making for, his ship being tossed and turned by the winds midstream..unable to get the right direction.
According to me the best goals to pursue are spiritual, since the very essence of our being is spiritual. TRUTH, LIFE, LOVE, SPIRIT, MIND, SOUL AND DIVINE PRINCIPLE are the synonyms for God. If our life is in harmony with the qualities associated with these synonyms of God, abundant happiness follows.
Taking the first synonym “Truth”, qualities associated with it are honesty, fidelity, sincerity, righteousness, faithfulness…We being the children of God, naturally express these qualities..Nevertheless, we need to be vigilant to express these qualities even when temptations and animal magnetism try to divert our right direction…
“If our hopes and affections are spiritual, they come from above, not from beneath, and they bear as of old the fruits of the Spirit. ” Science and Health.

    1. Bill, I also think that GOD with all His precious synonyms is our harbor, and we pray to express them all, at any time and everywhere. 🙂

Thank you Evan, that you make us think about to which harbor we steer our lifeboat, or better we let it steer by God, then we come safe into the right and only harbor of Spirit 🙂

  3. We could all work to know that there is no detail to difficult for God to workout. God’s universe is infinite in every dimension and every dimension is overwhelming with the good of God’s creation. That creation is established upon the principle of divine min, a truth of selfless love.

  4. Yes, Josef. I agree. Our work is in activity knowing the absolute facts of infinite divine Truth…
right in the “here and now” of even the most distressing situations, dispelling the illusions of the senses. The sense-dream vanishes in the pure light of Truth.

Let the senses argue…what do they know, really?
    They think the earth is…flat!

    With love,

    Sue

    1. Thank you Sue, and all commenters, for your comment, specially for the last 2 sentences – a reason to laugh, very good 🙂

  5. As always, thank you Evan. Linda I, too, pray that all those in attendance at the concert can feel the power of the Spirit to shelter them and support them. My hugs for you also.

    1. Thank you Mary Ann. The way people have been coming together and the love shown to one another today has been wonderful.

  6. I take refuge in prayer. we are all sinners but we are His children and we all can hope to be forgiven by mindfully practicing good thoughts which then get translated into good words and eventually good deeds. when I pray I connect with Him and there is no need to be afraid. what will be will be.
