Heidi, our cat

Our family cat’s name is Heidi, and she had a terrific healing through Christian Science over a dozen years ago. She’s 15 and doing very well today.
I put her on film to tell you her story.

P.S.  I still have a lot to learn about video blogging and editing!  Bear with me and bit by bit I’ll get it figured out.

  1. I also had the same experience with one of our Koi fish.
It jumped out of the pond sometimes during the night and we found it laying motionless on the grass early that morning. Right away we, I and my son, prayed for the poor fish by stating that its life is God’s and God is always present for us. We gave it CPR and douched it running water. After a while, it regained conciousness and floated unsinking in the pond. We kept the Truth of its true existence being with and by Life. The next time we looked, it was already swimming happily with its friends in our backyard Koi pond. God’s work prevailed.

  2. Evan, thank you so much for sharing a healing of an animal.
    Your wonderful story literally
brought tears to my eyes since
I lost my beloved Lab of 15 years
2 weeks ago. Apparently, God knew
that I, at least, needed to hear this healing of an animal. It was
so cute to see Heidi sniff the
page of S&H when you opened it.

  3. Dear Evan, I herd about animals being healed by Christian Science Prayer, but never read about it in any of the C/S magazines. So I placed this video of you and Heidi in my bookmarks, so I could view it again. Thank you for a really fine education as to what more C/S can do.

  4. Oh Evan I just loved this!Your cat looks grand and well fed-a lovely little creature…….thanks for reminding us that healing includes all of God’s creation.

  5. How lovely to see the beautiful Heidi. Her healing is such a wonderful example of God’s love for all creatures.

I plan to share it with Hazel Cat!

    With loving thanks, Peggy

  6. Great video, Evan. You are a video blogging pro already! It was a treat to see you, hear your voice and see lovely Heidi.

Just as there is only one man, of whom we are each individual expressions, there is also just one cat — God’s perfect cat. I think of this a lot when I pet my cats and know they reflect perfect grace, beauty, love, alertness, and health, all qualities given and maintained by God. He loves His cats!

  7. My parents had a new kitten when I was a preschooler. I remember it was white. It was hit by a truck, and seemed hopeless. My mother told me to play in the living room. She shut the kitchen door, dragged a stool to the middle of the room, and with the kitten in her lap prayed for probably half an hour. The kitten was back in shape, and healed. So I have all my life known that CS heals animals. More recently, on our farm, our eldest Rhode Island red hen was healed of a broken leg. Our kitty was healed of the effects of being bitten by a wild animal through the leg joint. This included singing all of Mrs Eddy’s hymns. Kitty would put his other paw up on my shoulder whenever I stopped. We sat in the rocking chair and sang. We had many animals in our family, and occasions that called for healing prayer.
