Stay inspired and buoyant

“Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.”

~ Proverbs 12:25, NLT

There’s a lot of worry going around these days as people fret about social distancing, exposure to germs, the direction of the economy, and more. There are challenges, for sure, that need to be met and mastered, but they can be approached with dominion, grace, and poise.

God has a solution for every problem we face. As we listen to the voice of wisdom, rather than get lost in fears bred by ignorance, we discern solutions and move down a progressive path.

Worry is a choice, not a mandate. There is no rule that says you must worry! You can choose instead to spend your thought and energy seeking out spiritual solutions that bring grand results.

Stay inspired with spiritual truth and master error quicker. It’s the happier way to live.

  1. Thank you so much for this much needed boost and reminder to stay uplifted in order to uplift others! So grateful for SpiritView! 🙂

  2. The little children in a clear water pool, happily playing is evidence of many great blessings.
They are enjoying many things provided by those around them. The parent thought that enjoys seeing them happy and cared for having an abundance of good.
Reading in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy page 323:32
“Willingness to become as a little child and leave the old for the news, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea,”
Thank you for letting us “View”” these little ones in their joy and buoyancy!

  3. One daughter, when she was very young,
was terrified to be put on her back in the local swimming pool.
Arms, feet, and water going everywhere. Plus
    tears.
When she was finally willing to trust me after
many days, she was stunned at the result of
quietly floating. She became a swimming
    instructor.
A lesson in spiritual buoyancy I needed to
    be reminded off.
    Thanks Evan.

    1. Thank you, M. This comment: …When she was finally willing to trust me after
many days, she was stunned at the result of
quietly floating. She became a swimming
instructor…..is very inspiring to me as it speaks of trust. Presently in a serious financial difficulty, trusting God is what is most needed. I see your comment as good inspiration for me to go forward t and realize God’s completeness is mine as well. I know Divine Love has solutions for abundant supply for us all and no one is left out. Focusing on this truth and prayer for more inspiration as well is my daily bread (Grace for today, as Mrs. Eddy states).☺

  4. I should have included she was also a lifeguard.
God is our lifeguard, Life guard, even when we are mentally flailing and not trusting.

    1. Thanks for sharing this lovely experience, and for Evan’s post today that prompted you to share it with us all.

    2. Amen to _____LIFE_____ Guard, loved your point that we are watched over, cared for and LOVED, always, by GOD.

  5. Thinking about “buoyancy”… one cannot will it. Using the example of being in water and floating, it is a natural tendency, but only if one gives oneself over to it. Softening and trusting, works best. It can at first seem a tricky lesson to learn…it is more a learning to work “with” rather than to work “against”….working together with God, good, is a buoyant affair ! Grateful for all comments…

  6. To choose to not be swept away in the currents of mortal mind because you understand a higher law exists for you and your neighbors.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
    Romans 8:1-2

And this is provable today in this very moment.

  7. This post is similar to a thought that came to me from God this am…when any suggestion of aging limitations come
to me my response now is “who said?” That may seem too simple but it directs my thought right to God Did He say it?
Thank you Evan and all for this on going conversation with friends!

  8. Such innocence and joy on the little girls face! I can take a lesson from that. To keep listening for Gods ideas and expect good …
    I will listen for thy voice, lest my footsteps stray;
I will follow and rejoice, all the rugged way! Hymn 304
    Thank you Evan ❣️

  9. Evan, thank you for the inspiration to not worry -“Worry is not a mandate.” Just what I need today. Smoke from two fires north and south of me is heavy like a fog. You remind me that God has a solution. I can affirm that all fire personnel will be guided. At the moment, the fires are uncontainable and they’re having a hard time due to the terrain. There’s nothing outside of God’s sweet control! Grateful for your blog, thank you!

  10. M I liked: God is our lifeguard!
My dad ( not a CS) would start many sentences with the words:
I worry about you. He loved me & I loved him & I tried all my life to reassure him that I was always safe.
I once read: Worry is a lack of trusting God.
Consequently, I try NEVER to worry.
Thank you Evan & all for your UPLIFTING thoughts

  11. I so needed this boost today. After enjoying some poignant life and work histories, as well as as a tone of civility and empathy throughout the Democratic convention, it’s been disappointing that many opponents write it all off as “pathetic”or worse. I so want to be able to keep my thoughts consistently inspired and hopeful for our planet and a greater sense of unity in our country and the world, transcending political preferences. It is helpful to be reminded it’s my choice whether to worry or stay inspired, seeking spiritual solutions.

    1. Amen, Nancy. God will soften those with hard hearts. Our nature is grace, gentleness and appreciation of the good in others.

  12. Wasn’t it Einstein that said “Worry is atheism.” ?

The Master Christ Jesus said “Fear ye not.”

And Mrs. Eddy clearly points out the need to begin ALL our prayerful work
by removing/assuaging/handling fear. See Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, Page 411, line 32

Do we know better than these folks?

    I think not.

P.S. Evan: Good new format! Love to you.

  13. Worry Does Not Empty Tomorrow Of Its Troubles, It Empties Today Of Its Strength.

And from NCIS Season 15 Episode 2 Quotes
Worry’s a bully. It gives you nothing. It only takes. ~Grace Confalone

  14. What a delightful picture and thanks for the comments and article shared. I was reminded of 2 experience in my life. We lived next to Lake Ontario in New York, when I was 3-1/2 years old. My father taught me how to swim in the lake. My complete trust in him gave me no fear of the water and I grew up loving to be in and on it sailing. I also became a life guard and when taking one of the required tests to float on your back for 10 minutes, I fell asleep! The other when I was the Assistant Manager of a large credit union and the manager lied about my performance to the board to boost hers. I made no attempt to defend myself and was fired on the spot. This resulted in my becoming the Branch Manager of a credit union in Crescent City, California, right on the ocean and next to a large grove of giant redwoods. What a blessing! God always has good plans for us!
Evan, thanks so much for this blog and to all who share their inspirations and experiences.

  15. Thank you Evan for this SpiritView!
Last Tuesday when I was shopping I had a lovely experience. The line before the check-out was quite long and took.time. suddenly I had the longing to pray and know that there is one almighty, everpresent God who loves us all in the supermarket as His precious children very very much. Then before me a woman had a lot shopping and a big bunch of bananas. I asked her as a joke if she had bought the last banabas, as i cpuld not find them. She said, oh there still a lot there. Then I replied that I will not go there now as I am already at the check-out. When we both were through the check-out, she suddenly put 3 Bananas into my supermarket waggon and smiled very kind at me and then rushed to her car. I thanked her and WA ver grateful not for the bananas in the first place, but mainöy for the brotherly love and kindness expressed by this woman. In my car then I thanked God for this experience of His loving presence, which is surely a healing aspect in this special time!
Evan, I am so very grateful for your blessing and healing SpiritView blog. It leads us to fill our thoughts with God’s spiritual healing ideas!
