  1. Quiet true Evan, but how does one deal with someone who inspite of all your efforts has decided to ignore and be indifferent to you?

    1. Don’t waste your time. You cannot force, bribe or cajole someone to love you.. and even if you could you really wouldn’t want someone like that anyway.. Lots of loving people out there..

  2. Love that is unselfed reflects Christ’s pure love. Didn’t we see that at Gethsamane, and Mrs. Eddy defines Gethsamane as patient woe; the human yielding to the divine; love meeting no response, but still remaining love. SH 586

  3. When we love, love is returned to us. It might not come from the one we showing love to, but it will come from somewhere. It is casting your bread upon the waters, It will return to you somehow, someway.

  4. I am learning that, to love as Jesus loved, we need to lift thought above the mortal to the immortal view.
Here”s an example: Our neighbour’s rambling roses had grown a little out-of-control. My husband asked me to ask my neighbour to tie them back so they didn’t swing over the fence and scratch his new car as he drove up our drive.
I made that request to her and found that she had decided not to talk to me any more.
I felt disturbed about that so I prayed.
This is what I reasoned with : “Man is the image of Love and cannot be made to express a single quality that doesn’t come from God. ”
After a few days all was once again warm and friendly ,and it remained so until our neighbour moved away to be near her family.

  5. I think of myself as a loving person and try to send out loving qualities to one and all. If I don’t feel love being returned I don’t stop expressing love. Kind of like the sun, it keeps shining and someone will feel that warmth. Even if a cloud goes in front of it, the sun just keeps doing the same shining. Expressing love should be something like breathing we just keep doing it naturally.
