Here’s an inspiration that came to me through a friend.
It was the outcome of a prayer to have less self-will and more of God’s will guide thoughts and actions.
“I can see that harmonious experience is the result of “thy will be done”, while discord is the result of “my will be done”.
So, which is guiding you today—God’s will or “my will”? It could make all the difference.
So very true Evan, when we pray with “May Gods will be done” the whole situation or problem is handed over to the divine Mind, confidently. So you know the best ever solution is going to come forth which will bless not only you, but each and everyone concerned in that situation.
I have seen this happen in my life many times.
When I am humanly struggling with a situation or a problem, nothing works out and moreover a feeling of listlessness and frustration sets in. This morning I was struggling hard with a problem and no solution came forth. Rather I wasted, time, energy and effort. Then I quietly and confidently put the whole situation in Gods hands and forgot about my problem.
In fact I started making a Gratitude List and when I was listing the 5th or 6th item in my Gratitude list, the problem resolved amicably and beautifully.
So never be wilfull but always trust in Gods will and entrust your problems in His loving care and guidance. God always, always has the best solution. Never doubt this, because it would be disloyal to doubt.
Thanks, Evan, and thanks to Nargis for the comments. I’ve been struggling with a decision because of human will, and doubt (“what’s going to happen?”), when I should have confidence in God to continue to guide me, and so feel at peace, knowing that with God in charge, only all good can happen! I know this, it’s the practice of it I need to pursue.
I have to add: doing God’s will blesses everyone that may be touched by the choice I need to make, not only me. There’s the true harmony: universal, impersonal, unbiased Love.
Loved the visual you used. It is so comforting to turn it all over to God.
I’ll try to keep them posted in my thoughts.
Something I westle with. Getting self out of the way! Serving God not man.”God, what would you have me do today?” Not always easy to yield to when we have a lengthly to-do list! But I’m learning when I put God first the list shortens or gets done with more grace and ease. Thanks, Evan for the reminder. (=
You made me think of a situation that has been irritating and difficult at work. It needs to be given to God and try not to look to see if the situation has resolved. Peace and harmony were never disrupted to begin with.
I have found by experience that when all human outlining has been used, all human manipulations have been used, and nothing comes out of it, that’s the time to let God’s will take complete charge of the situation. That’s the hardest thing to do only because of the human’s tendency to take upon self instead of God. Take a deep breath and leave it up to God and you will see fantastic, from a human mortal will, answers to the problem.
I love Suzette’s idea that doing God’s will blesses everyone involved because of the goodness of universal Impersonal unbiased Love. How beautiful!
I too have been struggling with wanting something and “pushing” to get it. A thought someone shared with me that has been helpful was holding up that desire to God and as Mrs. Eddy says let God mold and shape it.
This morning I was feeling uneasy with a case
Thanks Evan and to you all for your comments. All added inspiration to me to pursue entrusting all to God, which really is the only way possible.
This morning I was feeling exhausted about the strategies of the human mind in a certain civil case. But I can’t give up the activity I need to do to trust in Truth’s victory over erroneous postulates. I got so relieved coming across Isa 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk , and not faint.
