What do you see

The question is not what you look at, but what you see.

~ Henry David Thoreau

Be sure to see what God sees!  It’s the best sight of all.

  1. I love this reminder, especially when we view the world through human eyes and thoughts. I am Reminded of an article I read about seeing the lake right before a boat race and from the view climbing up the hill, it was chaotic, buoys were tangled up with the ropes supposedly marking the lanes for the race. However, once at the top of the hill and looking down as boats were in their lanes getting ready to start, all was in order and perfectly straight lanes! God’s higher view is always perfect.

Yes, the authentic actual vision each of us always has, Looking out from God, the one beautiful divine Mind, we witness His/Her perfect living manifesting with every one of God’s creations. It is breathtaking, isn’t it? 🙂

  3. Evan says be sure to see what God sees. We can do this by studying Christian Science to learn about what God sees and knows, to gain more spiritual understanding. We are privileged to have so many resources available, such as Science & Health and other writings by Mrs. Eddy, many translations of the Bible, CS articles, podcasts, Daily Lift, lectures, Bible Lesson and of course our wonderful spiritual fellowship here on SV.

All these resources help us keep our Spiritual Reality Goggles on so we can see Truth and all the beauty of Life. J had kindly shared with us a while back this short children’s animated video about Spiritual Reality Goggles. Very cute and wise and worth another look.

  4. Thanks a lot Evan! Yes, let’s see what God sees. He sees spiritually as He is Spirit!
Either I could pray that God might enable me to see what He sees, or we know that as God’s creation, his image and likeness, we express God’s perfect and beautiful seeing! Both is okay.

This Evening I found a wonderful article on Facebook with the title “The healing embrace of the Lord’s Prayer”. It is from Janet Clements in the CS Journal of May 2022. I find it very inspiring!
Perhaps “J”, you could find it in JSH and post it here? This article gives me very much.

  5. Thank you all for such great inspiration! It was fun to see the “spiritual reality goggles”
again. Thank you dear Rose and J for sharing it.
There are times when things seem so distracting by lies and falsities of mortal mind’s
temptations to believe in lack, division, war, economic downturns, things hidden that
seem such a mystery and seem to get us in a tizzy so that we don’t know what to believe…
mortally. But God sees us, always has and always will … in Perfection, despite what
mortal eyes limit our vision to.
God knows our deepest thoughts of Spirit and Truth and Love. And what a Beautiful
way to see the world! God’s Love is so invigorating and shines with such a wonderful
passion, bringing the world together in harmony and peace.

    1. So lovely, dear Carol, thank you for the words of divine Truth and Love!♡

And thank you, dear Rose for the sweet story with the boy. Thats a wonderful sundayschool lesson for the litten ones!♡

  6. So good! Thank you Evan. The only way to see what God sees is to stand with Him, in unity (as in “I and my Father are one”)! And isn’t that ultimately the only way to see the Truth, that often appears humanly as “healing”?

  7. Wow! Thank you, Evan–and Rose for the “spiritual reality goggles”–great video!
    Love to all,
    Karen
