Walk in the light

Come and let us walk in the light of the Lord.

~ Isaiah 2:5, NKJV

To have a good walking experience today, be sure to walk in the light of the Lord.

The light of the Lord is infinite Love.

Infinite Love is the omnipresent goodness of God bringing comfort, inspiration, peace, wisdom, and health.

When we walk in the light of the Lord, we walk with confidence.  Every step we take is inspired by the love of God that is present to support and sustain us.

Steps inspired by Love are attitudes and outlooks imbued with goodwill, generosity, kindness, patience, and forgiveness.

Walking is a metaphor for thought moving from one inspired idea to another.

There is no darkness in the path illuminated by the light of Love.  There is no anger, resentment, ill-will, irritation, complaining, or fear to trip us up.  Love is positive.  Love is cheerful.  Love sees good everywhere.

When we walk in the light of God, we won’t stumble in the darkness of mortal mind.  The inspiration of Love holds us up and keeps us up.

Walk in the light of the Lord and keep on walking.  Leave all darkness behind.

  1. Thank for this inspirational reading, just awhile ago, while going down the stairs from the bathroon, i missed one step and i tried to walking back to my room, and I said there is no pain in Truth. When i reached my bed, I recited the Scientific statement of Being… there is no life, truth intelligence in matter (accident). And then I recieved this article, come walk in the light of God, i can now move with no pain in my hip and Love is At Work (LAW) Thank you for all the articles and for my healing

    1. Thank you for sharing (LAW)- Love at Work. Just what I needed to hear today. And thanks for sharing your healing experience with us. And thanks to Evan for another truly inspiring Spiritview today. ❤️

  2. Dear Evan you have no idea how helpful this is to me today. I have for some time been having difficulty in walking and have been getting quite depressed about it. However your message today has given me a whole new way of looking at it. I love where you say that “Walking is a metaphor for thought moving from one inspired idea to another”. I have been following SpiritView for several years now and have had so much inspiration from these blogs in that time. Thank you for setting up SpiritView and for keeping it going despite what I’m sure are very busy demands on your time. The help it gives all of us who follow it is beyond measure. Thank you again. Linda X

    1. Linda I echo your sentiments of gratitude for SpiritView and for all who pariticipate in any way, those who write comments as well as those who simply read and think about and pray about the messages that Evan provides; it is all powerful and part of one whole. LIke you I too loved the spiritual definition of walking, “….a metaphor for thought moving from one inspired idea to another.” This will be helpful for my husband who has a belief of impaired mobility and will also help me in how I think about him and pray to see him rightly, as God sees him – moving freely.

I also appreciated, “Love sees good everywhere.” That tells me that in reality good IS everywhere and I can see it if I look with spiritual sense, very comforting.

      1. Also love the photo, the rays of sunlight filtering through the trees and the woman and her dog basking in the Peace and glory of the divine moment.

    2. That’s right Linda, I share your feelings of gratitude. And I was thinking that not only SpiritViewers are helped beyond measure (can there be measure or limits to the blessing of viewing Spirit?!) but also all those who these followers come in contact with, even in thought, receive some of that blessing. So the reverberations are awesomely immeasurable. The Light of Spirit is renewing minds and transforming the world, despite the suggestions of darkness, sometimes even of increasing darkness.

  3. This is wonderful Evan. I couldnt resist printing it out so it is at hand for any doubting moments. How I understand now the importance of …prayer without ceasing….for mortal mind will seek to creep in when ever it sees a chink in one’s rightful, constant armour of God…the true protection of our spiritual being.
I am most grateful for this today and look forward to the contributions it will inevitably inspire here on Spirit View. Love to all.❣️

  4. Thank you very much for this message. In this week’a Lesson is similar inspiration and encouragement.

    1. Cindy-“I am the light of Divine Love. So glad I know this.”

Yes, each one of us, always. We deeply appreciate our God-provided, living oneness with and from Him/Her every moment. Ohh, Life is soo good!

Thank you, Evan. Thanks, everyone, for your lovely sharing.

    2. Yes! The light of Divine Love – Always with us, shining it’s warmth
and saturating us with eternal blessings that never end. Lovely!

  5. A lovely Spiritual View today – Thank you dear Evan and all. And what a wonderful
healing and comment, dear Ellen. So inspiring and uplifting in thought!
I have several errands to run today before a heatwave. Drivers have become very
aggressive in this area lately and every time I hear an emergency siren go off (quite
frequently), I use it as an opportunity to say a prayer for whomever is involved. Riding
and walking with God today will be, as Evan writes, “thought moving from one inspired
idea to another”. Love that! This hymn #139 has been shared here before, but it is so
relevant to today’s topic, I think it bares repeating:
    “I walk with Love along the way, And O, it is a holy day;
    No more I suffer cruel fear, I feel God’s presence with me here;
The joy that none can take away Is mine; I walk with Love today…
    Come, walk with Love along the way, Let childlike trust be yours today;
Uplift . . your thought, with courage go, Give of . . your heart’s rich overflow,
And peace shall crown your joy-filled day.
Come, walk with Love along the way.

  6. Thank you Evan and all! I love the thought that “walking is a metaphor for thought moving from one inspired idea to another.”

Quote by another: “Mind is the source off all movement…it’s really very simple. Because we are a spiritual idea created by God, every single aspect of our lives, including movement, originates in Mind. As Mind’s idea, we are not hampered by physical beliefs about moving, but rather am the very expression of God, divine Mind, in action. What appears to be physicality or a bodily condition has nothing to do with our ability to move. Divine Mind expressing itself to us is the reality.”

“Many forms of disease have their supposititious base in a wrong concept of motion, and when God is seen to be the divine Principle which animates His entire creation, the mortal view of faulty organic/matter action fades into nothingness. The real universe of spiritual ideas actually lives in and is controlled by the one creative Mind, and there is nothing external to God’s infinitude that can enter His allness and interfere with the harmony of His perfect nature.” (Alan Alywin)

      1. I’m sorry about that Jackie…I transposed the l and y…. it’s Alan A. Aylwin. He’s written several articles in CS publications.

  7. Thank you, Evan.

Just this morning before I read your message the thought came to me ‘Love & Light.’ I go for walks rather often. Over the years I have made a habit of not traveling alone at night unless I am with friends or I am with a group or with many people like traveling in train, plane, bus.

I am deeply aware in God where safety comes from and I know I am always safe with God.

Some of my testimonies at The Mother Church have been about being kept safe.

I love what Mrs. Eddy says about ‘Safety’,
“Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort. And not only yourselves are safe, but all whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited.”

“Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” (p. 571), “Clad in the panoply of Love, human hatred cannot reach you.”
    — Mary Baker Eddy.

Whether it’s hating yourself or others in human sense has no power because God is the only LOVING POWER-AUTHORITY-GOVERNMENT-FAMILY-UNIVERSAL FAMILY.

  8. Thank you very much, Evan, for for all your wonderful inspiration and articles. After reading today’s, this comes to me from Science and Health from page 454: “Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action.”
Thanks and much love to all who contribute.

  9. Absolutely deLIGHTfull message of Truth dear Evan! Especially to “keep on walking … leave all darkness behind” … I appreciate this so much!!

  10. When we do as your post points out we are achieving our holy purpose regardless of our occupation or retirement.

  11. Every step we take is inspired by love of God that is present to support & sustain us. Thanks Evan. The love of God helped me to cast out fear while learning to drive a car & brought out independence in my life. Near about seventeen years back, I wanted to attend Church services in time & I had great fear for learning to drive car. But I was inspired by Hymn 139. I walk with Love along the way. I used to replace “walk ‘with ‘drive’. I learnt car driving with this Hymn.Whenever fear alarmed while driving, I used to recite this Hymn & could attend Church services independently & in time. Thanks a lot Evan for Spiritview

    1. Thank you All for a very enlightening message, photo and comments! Himanshu, I don’t
drive too much any more, but also like to replace “walk” with “drive”, too, in going with
      Love along the way.
When cell phones were just becoming popular, I didn’t have one, but was on my way to a
Wed. evening service (- I no longer drive at night and the church has since gone separate
ways, so no longer there), but I was “prayed up” as it were, getting ready for the inspiration
and to share a testimony I had had. I sometimes had difficulty coming up with the right
words, so was praying to know that my share would be helpful to others. A young girl who
had just gotten her license was talking on her cellphone, wasn’t paying attention and
plowed into my little car, and then hit again/sideswiped me with her very large SUV.
We rode together for a distance as one. I was rather in shock when someone yelled to
quick – get out of the car, which I had to crawl out of the passenger side. Someone
four lanes away in a pizza shop said they had heard the crash, but only saw her car,
which had eclipsed mine, from their view..
She totaled both vehicles, but thankfully neither of us were hurt and both walked away
from the entanglement, without any harm, even tho, where she had hit my car was very
close to where, without God’s dear protection, it may have been a different ending.
I was/am so very grateful for this demonstration of Love being there right where it
      would seem it wasn’t.
This state now has made certain things legal, which it seems makes drivers less responsible,
but I like to think about others and myself “driving under the influence” – the Influence of
      God/Love.

      1. Thank you very much Angel for your testimony about God’s strong protection.
I am also a car driver to church, shopping, actually to everywhere. And I love driving.
And i always start driving with knowing, God is on my driver’s seat, and that God’s Love is with us all, car drivers and passengers in the streets. I am very grateful that God is our everpresent guide, and that we also can feel and really know it!♡

        1. A friend of mine, traveling a long distance sang hymn 263, but substituted a word:

As the “cars” in order going,
          All harmonious, He doth move;
          heavenly calm and comfort showing
Comes the healing word of Love.

  12. Thank you J for the Elise Moore chat and the great quote from Alan Aylwin. I found two of his articles (they do not open fully, maybe someone can provide the full links).

Thank you Carol for Hymn 139, you are so right, this wonderful hymn bears repeating again and again.

  13. this is so helpful to me today. yesterday I had a super annoying flight and I was soooooo tempted to be a total karen about it. the flight attendants plied six guys with alcohol behind me and they were loud and belligerent the whole time. my mind swirled with complaints and desire to punish – just awful things and I actually thought: why am I getting pleasure out of the thought of revenge or getting people in trouble?? This article illuminates for me that was a mortal mind thought not leading to anyywhere good at all. THE OTHER reason I’m grateful for this today is bc we are touring our show and tonight for the first time I’ll be doing my show on a raked stage – meaning it’s on an angle or like a slight hill!!! And I’m wearing 5 inch heels. And I do not want to fall! And rather than complain or worry, I am going to really hold on to this beautiful message!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK U SO MUCH!

  14. freedom was barefeet or birkenstocks, and no bras and long hair.
We are with you and hear you singing !!! Our hearts wake up with you!
and you dance on the head of a pin! Give it !! You’ve got It! Thank you God!
    and Spiritview-ers! Evan I’m grateful.

  15. Thank you! In reading that “There is no darkness in the path illuminated by the light of Love. There is no anger, resentment, ill-will, irritation, complaining, or fear to trip us up. Love is positive. Love is cheerful. Love sees good everywhere….” I just thought about a tricky situation with a neighbor and how I need to refuse to look “in the darkness” that appears as misunderstanding, apparently bad attitudes, and speculation for reasons to explain those attitudes. All of that, as any appearance of dis-harmony, belongs to the nothingness of darkness, the seeming absence of the Light of Spirit, which always is Being, existing, constituting, filling up all that IS… “entirely separate from the belief and dream of…” discomforting darkness, or so-called matter and experiences would-be ruled or caused by the mythical existence of a substance antithetical to Spirit’s substance.
    Thanks again.
