Boundless bliss

God’s being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss.

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 481

Are you living in boundless bliss today?  If not, you can.

Boundless bliss is the outcome of spiritual mindedness.  Consciousness accepting of God’s infinite goodness abounds with heavenly inspiration.  Boundless bliss!

To get there, one can’t be muddling around with material sense.  Material sense is the opposite of spiritual sense.

Material sense focuses on things, like the body, food, money, or other people.  Spiritual sense focuses on God.  It dances with spiritual ideas, celebrates omnipresent Love and runs with spiritual truth.

Heavenly bliss is a symptom of thinking right, feeling right, and living right.  It’s the effect of knowing and understanding God.

For progress, get to know God better than ever today, and reap the benefit of boundless bliss!

  1. Very refreshing to have a new understanding of the word “symptom ” Heavenly bliss is thinking right, feeling right and acting right. Mortal mind tries to make humanity think in terms of the physical body.Thank you for this insight.

  2. Mrs Eddy uses bliss 37 times. 13 in Science and Health., 24 in Prose Works.
The word is such a strong statement. I love it when it is in the Lesson.
    It’s not only bliss … it’s boundless!
    Perfect! Wonderful! G❤️d
Bliss is the love of God.
    Thanks Evan
May everyone have a day of boundless bliss, every day.

  3. Wonderful God and Wonderful manifestation….
    that’s US, in true being!

    (there is no “other” be-ing!)

    wow

  4. Evan tells us that to experience boundless bliss (our true state) “one can’t be muddling around with material sense.” Definition of Muddling—the action or process of bringing something into a disordered or confusing state.

Error would try to direct us into that confused state.

If I want to feel like the person in the photo above (Joy expressed), Evan gives three verbs, action words, for a great spiritual fitness workout:
    Dance-with spiritual ideas
    Celebrate-omnipresent Love
    Run-with spiritual Truth

I claim and declare our natural, uninterrupted state of God-given bliss.

    1. utterly crystal clear, Rose thank you; “I claim and declare our natural, uninterrupted state of God-given bliss.those associations of a workout spiritually.”

Wanting to do all at once, as I wait at home for visitors to appear, who are moving 25 hours away, but whose schneeuuuu awaits here, for loading up to move out with them. What a conundrum, stalled inside a packed garage full of stuff.

  5. Back.
I was thinking about not hearing the word bliss used.
Maybe the only time would be in a situation like the picture, and then it would be, What a blissful day.
Bliss, would always be full, bountiful. Full to overflowing.
Thanks again Evan for showing , bliss, should be/is every day.

  6. From Miscellaneous Writings (p. 82) by Mary Baker Eddy: speaking of God, she writes:
“This Mind, then, is not subject to growth, change or diminution, but is the divine intelligence, or Principle, of all real being, holding man forever in the rhythmic round of unfolding bliss, as a living witness to and perpetual idea of inexhaustible good.”

  7. The joy expressed in this wonderful message is beautiful! Like waves of the ocean keep coming
and coming in to harmony’s existence, God keeps comforting us with boundless bliss. I love
the definition shared by Evan as “spiritual sense” which is limitless, as opposed to material sense
which is fleeting, limited. “From sense to Soul .. from mist and shadow into Truth’s clear day”.
    Lovely!
I looked up the meaning of bliss …

“noun: perfect happiness; great joy – a state of spiritual blessedness, typically that reached after
death [that could mean after the “death” of mortal belief]
verb: reach a state of perfect happiness, typically so as to be oblivious of everything else.”

Focussing on God’s Love brings such joy and is boundless bliss.

    1. Hi Carol, I had the same thought as you, to look up definitions of Bliss and also Boundless, here’s what I found:
Boundless- Infinite, vast, limitless, immense, inexhaustible, unending, expansive, unencumbered, unrestricted freedom.

Bliss- Perfect happiness; great joy, gladness, delight, pleasure, heaven, paradise, Eden, utopia, euphoria, cloud nine, rapture, ecstasy, elation.

Sure sounds like God to me!

      1. Thank you so much, dear Rose. The definitions are very helpful that
you shared. It’s interesting how we use words all of the time, but when
we actually delve into their meaning by looking them up, we come
across sometimes meanings that really connect more and are often ones
we have never really thought about before. And when writing about
the Good ones, YES! they sure do sound like God! : ) So close to Mind.
It is convenient having the dictionary button right on the computer dock
making it so easy to look up words. I have a large dictionary, also, that
really explores more into the heart of meanings, which is a compilation
of such wonderful words … helping us learn more and more.

    1. Thank you J for this extra ordinary and clear artical by Michelle Nanouche. It is very convincing, that God is always with us, loving, guiding, protecting and healing us. It can’t be else like this as God. all Good fills all space and is all in all. Thank you God!!!♡♡♡

  8. Thanks Evan for making clarity about boundless bliss- a consciousness accepting of God’s infinite goodness abound with heavenly inspiration..Heavenly bliss is a symptom of thinking right, feeling right & living right. A great inspiration. Thank you Evan.

  9. Thanks J, this is one of my favorites. The version I’ve read has some slight differences and is a little longer. There is apparently some uncertainty as to whether Mrs. Eddy actually wrote this. There is a bit of explanation about this at the end of the one I have. Supposedly it was a letter she wrote to her close aid Adam Dickey, who later wrote the well-loved, ‘God’s Law of Adjustment.’ But either way the principles expressed are wonderful and uplifting.

  10. I just love this. Thank you everyone for your contributions. I will be reading this over and over again today. Symptom? I will think differently every time I see this word now. Yes. . .dance, celebrate, run. Waves of the ocean just keep coming! The definitions of boundless and bliss. Adjectives are powerful. I also love when MBE talks about protecting power and supportive influence. Makes me think of media ” influencers”. Is it supportive of the real man? Food for thought. God, Life, Truth and Love is our boundless bliss, our Protecting power and Supportive influence. Again, thank you all so much. I just love this.!

  11. Years ago when I went away to college, a Sunday School classmate went off to attend Principia at the same time. She sent this same article to me. It was so very helpful to me. I was just a kid out of high school, but I was supporting myself completely. She knew this. I memorized this article and lived with it. Just recently, I thought about it. I am so grateful that you referenced it and I can appreciate it all over again.

  12. Thank you Evan, and all who comment. I really appreciate this SV, as our neighborhood has been anything but blissful lately. Our richly diverse and quiet neighborhood has a home with multiple issues and an absentee landlord. I awoke this morning to a seemingly random thought…the slogan from Raising Cane (a fast food chicken restaurant). I haven’t eaten there yet, but I know the slogan is One Love. I looked up the meaning of One Love and it refers to: “universal love and respect expressed for all people regardless of race, creed or color. Thus, broadly speaking, one love is an expression of unity and inclusion.” What a lovely angel message! We are all united in One Love as Love’s beloved spiritual ideas, and no one can be excluded from this title.
A wonderful weekend to all. 🙂

  13. Dear J, Having had neighbors who were far from “harmonious”, I feel for what you
are seemingly going through. But your attitude towards them is very admirable and
kind and compassionate. You will be rewarded by God’s gentle Love .. One Love is
supreme…I hope you have a quiet and peaceful weekend, too.

  14. Thank you Blessed. Corporations are buying up single family homes in residential areas and are turning many into poorly managed (or not managed at all) rental properties. Definitely an issue that needs our prayers.

    1. Agreed, J . There is one house like that on my road, where loud music was an
issue. Thankfully I didn’t hear it and it is vacant now, but it did disturb the peaceful
residents surrounding it. It seems when renting, folks do not always respect or
consider others or treat others in a way they would like to be treated, It is just another
form of mortal mind trying to be in control, I suppose. When the renters across the
street moved in, there were a lot of nefarious issues, also. With prayer in trying to see
them as children of God, not as those doing things harmful, things simmered down and
although I think things are still going on that need correction, in society in general, prayers
for harmony do help. Our true home is Peace where the outside forces that would try to
disturb our serenity can not be deterred by anything unlike God. Disrespect of others by
litter thrown on to what those who try to keep things looking nice, is also a form of
mortal mind that tries to pollute the purity of harmony.

      1. Thank you for sharing your experiences Blessed, as this issue affects many, many communities throughout the country, and, as you say, society in general. In addition to much needed prayer, so thankful for city ordinances and laws that help with needed corrections when enforced.

  15. Your phrase “dances with spiritual ideas” felt like it was meant to speak directly to me, a former professional ballet dancer. As I age, I often am struggling to accept what appears to be diminishing peak physical performance, though I have been very vigilant and fortunate in maintaining excellent overall health and fitness. Thank you for this new mantra to help me see myself as a perpetual spiritual dancer, focusing on all the positives in my life!

  16. Thank you very much dear Evan! Today I had a very blessed peaceful and nice Sunday!
And thank you dear God! And thank you Mary Baker Eddy – It’s such a freeing and healing sentence from Science and Health! 🙂
