Accomplish more

If you’d like to accomplish more with your efforts, begin by enlarging your understanding of God!

Mary Baker Eddy writes, “The human capacities are enlarged and perfected in proportion as humanity gains the true conception of man and God” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 258).

We live out our understanding of God.  The more we understand God to be the source of everything we do, the more we feel the unlimited capacities of God working through us.

For instance, if you’re relying upon the human mind to solve a problem, you might feel limited, constrained, even hopeless, for the human mind is a finite concept of mind with finite capacities.  But if you rely upon divine Mind for the answers you seek, a sense of limitation lifts, for divine Mind has infinite understanding, infinite wisdom, unending ideas to solve problems with.

There are no limits in divine Mind, the Mind of God.  And there are no limits on how much divine Mind can help you.

As we rely upon God’s capacities for accomplishing good works, our human capacities enlarge.  They grow and expand.  We accomplish more that is worthwhile and constructive.

  1. Dear Evan and all….first thought

Take my life and let it be; consecrated Lord to Thee
Take my moments , and my days
Let them flow in. Ceaseless praise
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy Love…hymn 324

Have a God filled Day…..as if it could be anything else❣️

  2. Spot on, dear Barbara – The whole hymn is very inspiring; puts everything into our Father’s hands, and if we let this be, the true conception of man appears and we can demonstrate more of the unlimited capacities of our God-given abilities, lacking nothing.

Thank you for this hymn – it will be a great help to me particularly over today and tomorrow. Maggie xx

  3. Thank you Evan and all. I love where you wrote, “There are no limits in divine
Mind, the Mind of God. And there are no limits on how much divine Mind can
help you”. It reminded me of Hymn #51,

” Eternal Mind the Potter is, And thought th’e eternal clay; The hand that
fashions is divine, His works pass not away.
Man is the noblest work of God, His beauty, power and grace,
Immortal; perfect as his Mind Reflected face to face…
And man does stand as God’s own child, The image of His love.
Let gladness ring from every tongue, And heaven and earth approve”.

The inspiration here is so endearing. Thank you All.

    1. Yes Blessed, that is the line that stood out to me too, “there are no limits on how much divine Mind can help you.” God’s help to us is infinite, He can give us so much more than we can even imagine, when we turn to Him, willing to learn and grow in our understanding of Him.

        1. Hi Blessed, thanks for your kind appreciation and glad you found value in my comment .❤️
