Do you ever worry about what is happening with the government of your country? Do you fear the consequences of decisions made by your political leaders?
There is a spiritual perspective that can dissolve those worries and bring peace of mind.
I share how to find that peace of mind in this vlog filmed in the Red Rock National Conservation Area near Las Vegas, Nevada, April 2025.
Thank you so much for this Evan. We have to be the one’s holding to these Truths. We that do know the Truth, have to try not to be fooled by the material evidence. I let myself be fearful during covid and it just showed me that it really meant I wasn’t trusting God as much as I thought I did. I let myself “enjoy” the company of others with similar political views, instead of holding to God’s Truth. I will not do that again! Talk about us having the pearl of great price, I lost it once, but I won’t let go of it this time.
I loved the analogy of the boys becoming quiet – What cannot God do!
Trials are proofs of God’s care. Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of ease. The blessings we learn in adversity last the longest, and lift us higher. May we each be buoyant with hope.
Thank you, Evan – very inspiring with your example in school particularly.
Really, as I see it, the answer initially lies within our own thoughts. I like to think of Christ as our schoolmaster, who is always present with us, even within us, to keep us on the straight and narrow way of righteous judgments just firstly within our own environment – our daily lives., in accordance with God’s Holy Law.
Then we will better understand how this Law of God, which Christ teaches us, is in operation for all in authority everywhere, because we see that it is the universal Law of God, good. We can trust completely in that Law that is governing, loving, blessing all mankind – protecting, and guiding every thought and action of all His children safely for ever.
There is nothing to fear, if we
trust in God’s government of all His Creation. To keep on loving our seeming enemies, and keeping our own
thoughts in harmony with all we come in contact with, and come into our thoughts. This is helping to
shine out the Christ light in our world.
Here is a link to an article by Naomi Price which is very helpful. I hope it works.

I cherish the inspiration of this SpiritView, Evan, as well as the comments from the two readers above. Mortal mind will always try to mesmerize us to see a power other than, apart from or greater than God. And yet that picture is impossible. It will always try to make the human picture seem more outrageous by the day to try to hold us in the Adam dream. But we know, through Christian Science, that there never was an Adam dream, and we can thank Mrs. Eddy for pointing that out and providing us with the healing efficacy of Christian Science in ALL things unreal.
A big thankyou Evan, very asuring and carming.
Hugs.
Jette from Denmark
I agree wholeheartedly Jette! Thank you Evan!
Thank you Evan for another awesome blog! And love all the comments above!
“A spiritual perspective on government” Recognizing God, good, as infinitely powerful opens our eyes to goodness, harmony, and solutions – wherever we may live. By Monica Passaglia. From the July 8, 2025 issue of The Christian Science Monitor:

Thank you Evan and all and to Maggie and J for sharing articles. Here’s another great article. This one was mentioned by Kay in the August 8th SpiritView comments but at that time the Sept 2025 Journal wasn’t available online. Among other great ideas mentioned in this article is an example of how the author, Justin Long, demonstrated the truth in the face of an unfair government policy.

Thank you everyone for your inputs and articles, and thank you RobertMaggie
Sorry, – that should conclude with
and thank you Robert H for your article which I am keeping to read a bit later on.
Thank you, Evan. “in Him we live, move and have our being..” So there is no place outside of God’s kingodm. That is enough for me.
Thank you Evan and all for the beautiful vlog and words of wisdom, shared. So
appreciated and lovely. Nature’s scenery of God’s beautiful world is amazing
and thank you for taking us along on your journey, both “physically” and spiritually.
Sometimes we are tempted to believe that things that are not according to our
way of thinking are wrong. Sometimes they Are and we adamantly try to say,
No! to them/erroneous thought and mortal’s ways of thinking. We denounce
them. Sometimes what we perceive to be one thing, turns out to be the best in
the long run, if we are openminded, patient and willing to open our hearts to
a way we may not have thought about before.
Like the boys in your class, Evan, when guided by Principle – one of Mrs. Eddy’s
synonyms for God, like Mind, Truth, Spirit, Soul, Life and Love – they were
respectful to each other and the order of peacefulness. But like some students
try to take advantage of say, a substitute teacher, or lack of the structure of
Principle, without the teacher being in the room …. it is like mortal (little mind’s)
thinking unruly and with unkindness that needs to be guided back to harmony.
The spiritual view of things is always the best, the endearing and the lasting.
It is not always easy to stay on this pathway, but it is the most peaceful way,
when governed by God.
Yes thank you Evan, we need to remember two things no matter how the world seems materially: First that we can pray to see that God is taking good care of each of His dear individual expressions, and Second that God is guiding our government leaders in their views and their actions and sometimes I pray to know that they can only be the men and women that God created, expressing only His qualities of Love – Compassion – Goodness – Fairness – Humanity – Wisdom etc.
Thanks everyone for great and helpful commentary and articles today!
Thanks dear Rose, I love what you said and I agree totally. I also pray for our government, and that as God’s children they can only be obedient to God’s law and express it! ♡
Thank you dear Uta. Glad to know that you (and probably so many other CS’ists) are also praying to recognize that our government officials, “…can only be obedient to God’s law and express it!”
Thank you Evan and all the contributors. I’m so grateful for all the sharing and love provided. The article of Justin Longs, has met my need for enlightenment on so many levels today. Feeling blessed.
Thank you very much dear Evan! Your tiday’s Vlog gives us such big confidence, comfort and surity of God’s omnipotence and omnipresence
yes divine Principal is the only lawgiver as He created. a l l and governs. a l l, He has made!
I love hymn 246
O Thou who spreadest the heaven like a tent.
He who depends on Thee, ne’er is forespent,
Still for his. might on Thee He ever counteth,
On wings of eagles he, unwearied, mounteth.
have ye not heard, have ye not known
The everlasting God
Creator is of heaven and earth,
And He alone is Lord.
So shall the glory of God be revealed,
All flesh shall see it and all shall be healed,
In word and deed declare Him and adore Him,
God’s will is done, and all is plain before Him.
Refrain.
Thsnk you all dear SpiritView friends for the comments and articles!♡
