If you ever feel separated from God, it might have to do with how you’re thinking about your relationship to God.
Do you see yourself at-one with God, like synchronized swimmers in perfect concert with each other? Or are you seeing yourself at a distance from God, like a person standing on one side of a large room facing a person standing on the other side of the room?
Don’t think about being God’s child. Think as God’s child.

Such a beautifully worded poem that is so simple and straightforward. This is a keeper for me for healing thoughts everyday. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Evan for the idea of « Think as GOD’s child » and Thank you, Maggie, for this simple but profound poem. Just what I needed to start my day and a ponder it throughout the day. Much gratitude!
Love this poem and made a bookmark for it in JSH-online.
Thank you!
Darlene
Evan, Thanks for bringing up this topic today!
There is only one I https://journal.christianscience.com/shared/view/x6ykfm6lks?s=w
Thank you, Evan. Your words present a distinct and inspired difference in the way we might pray more effectively.
Think AS God’s child, not just being a child of God! That’s it!
Yes Adrienne I was impressed with that statement too. To think AS God’s child, makes it clear we already ARE God’s child with all the rights, privileges and abilities that come along with that, and don’t have to DO anything to make it so. Just tune into it and rest in it.
I was re-reading Evan’s article that J shared with us on yesterday’s SV. He gives a vivid example of how he practiced tuning in to the peace and presence of God (that is always with us) right in the midst of an extreme onslaught of material sense distractions – in the middle of Times Square in NYC. He said it’s like turning a switch on and off. We can practice this tuning in and get better and better at it, to remind ourselves of what’s always true. Very encouraging.
“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.”
1 John 3:14
“He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”
The only place to be living is with God.
Thank you !!!
Love this reminder. ❣️
