Let God lead the way

January 12, 2026 | 23 comments

Is God leading the way for you today?  Or are you stumbling around in the dark trying to see the next step on your own, and not sure what to do?

If stumbling, you can quickly get back on your feet and move down a progressive path.

God is an all-knowing, all-wise Mind, that knows everything you need to know to be successful.  As you get humble and listen to God’s voice within, you’ll hear what God has to say.

Divine Mind is speaking to you.  The big question is, are you listening?

As we humble the proud human mind that thinks it knows everything, get thought quieted down, and listen for divine Mind’s instruction, helpful ideas come.  Like an artesian well pushing water to the surface, Mind pushes ideas directly into our thought that say, “This is the direction to go.”

The Psalmist writes, “Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.  All day long I put my hope in you” (Psalm 25:5, NLT).

God always knows best.  Listen.  Hear.  Act.  Let divine Mind’s wisdom lead the way.  You’ll know what to do.

  1. Just what I needed to hear this morning to help me to know the way (Mind’s way) forward! Thank you so very much, Evan.

  2. I should have added this statement from Science and Health which occurred to me:
Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. SH 454:18-19.

  3. Evan, thank you. Your message has been a needed treatment for me today. It has helped me to rise above material restrictions, to listen to God and importantly to follow His leading. I am truly grateful for all that is shared on Spirit View.

  4. Thank you so much for this succinct and powerful message about listening. This is what’s missing in my string of unsuccessful treatments! I listen but probably without much humility.

    1. You are so right Murph, humility is key. I once heard someone say that God designed us to rely on Him, completely, that this quality is built into us. I really liked that thought. May we all settle into true humilty and silence so we can hear God over all the noise in the world and the seeming noise in our heads.

  5. Love this corrective Truth.

As things go along well in my life I tend to forget the true source of happiness and harmony and start taking more of the credit. Then things take an unpleasant turn and I struggle as I rely on myself for the solution. This Truth brings peace and freedom from struggle.

    1. Thanks, J and Bob Rupp, for reminding me of similar lessons and blessin’s I’ve experienced, and not just the thoughts, but also the feelings in relying on Mind’s control blessing all. I can feel that no matter what.

    2. Utmost thanks to you, dear J for this most helpful, healing and comforting article . It’s just on the point of what I needed exactly this moment. Robert Rupp mentioned one of my favorite truth sentences, namely that God is in total control of all we do and experience. God’s divine law is governing and guiding us! That article is wonderful!!

Thank you dear Evan , also your today’s SpiritView is very needed and healing! ♡

      1. Such a refreshing and utmost beautiful picture in the Morning Sun inspiring us with the light of rhe healing Christ! ❤️

  6. Thank you, Evan. As always the perfect message at the perfect time. Happy New Year to all and thank you everyone for your loving post and ideas as well! They are always so helpful too! God Bless you ALL!

  7. This lesson in divine guidance from the One Mind, is so helpful in
moving us forward through the Spiritual View. Thank you Evan, One and All.
In listening for the still, small voice, I was led to look up the definition of
ears in S&H where Mrs. Eddy describes: “EARS. Not organs of the so-called
corporeal senses, but spiritual understanding. Jesus said, referring to
spiritual perception, ‘Having ears, hear ye not?’ (Mark viii. 18)”
How often do we stumble (at least I do) in trying to decipher which way to
decide through “mortal” direction, in which to go, when “listening” – spiritual
perception is there all along, if we just turn to it and humbly accept the path.

  8. Oh to get quiet enough inside to really be still and hear and listen. Maybe we don’t need to struggle to get quiet, just know that God helps us, making us able to get quiet, He wants to help us hear Him.
“Be Still and know that I am God.” (Psalms 46:10)

Evan this statement you made above jumped out at me, ” Mind pushes ideas directly into our thought that say, “This is the direction to go.”
It made me think of :
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, THIS IS THE WAY, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21)
This also picks up on the idea of Ears that Carol kindly shared above.

Evan thank you for consistently leading our thoughts in the right and true and harmonious direction. A blessed, God-led day to all!

  9. Thank You.
    My thought was
    Proverbs 3:5-6
    King James Version
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  10. S.R.
Thank you Evan for the loving graces shared with us each morning. The to-day message reminds me of a favorite hymn on page 519 by Jill Gooding. To me it’s L.L.L. Lean, Let go, and Love, which I’ve tattooed in thought.

  11. In one of our previous articles, I read this:
“In my Science & Health textbook, I have underlined: ‘To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings.’ Lean harder.”

  12. P.s. a shout out and thank you to Patty for attaching the excellent Sentinel Watch with Nikki Paulk on achieving health through acknowledging our oneness with God on Friday, 1/9. Just now getting a chance to listen to it, and it is so good! xo

  13. Thank you, Evan for such a well timed reminder to listen and to”Let divine Mind’s wisdom lead the way”. I am so grateful for your spiritual insights and the loving community that has grown with Spirit View. It is now a highlight of my day and I eagerly await the new chapter each day. It usually comes in at night here in Australia and I love to follow the comments and shared articles as the day goes on.
I am finding so much here that is bringing me into closer relationship with God and I am very very grateful. God bless you all.
