Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
True meekness is letting God go first. It’s recognizing that we are not powers to ourselves, having to control and manipulate circumstances to our own selfish liking. It’s an acknowledgement that God always knows best, and a willingness to listen for God’s direction and follow it as it comes.
Meekness is not weakness. It’s power. It’s a healthy quality to embrace and live. It allows the goodness of God to flow our way unobstructed by ego and pride. It inherits the love and care of God.
Such a perfect truth.
I was told by my practitioner that meekness is the willingness to listen, not some namby-pamby weak
attitude or cowardly trait as many people believe. When you really think about it, many prominent figures in the Bible have realized the need to become willing to listen to God in order to right their lives or solve some problem that they seem to be experiencing.
At crucial times in our lives, meekness is the lubricant that allows us to soothe and/or solve even the most difficult dilemma. Meekness is so important. When we meekly ask God about our problems, he is certain to answer you in a perfect way according to you need.

Excellent expression, Evan. Meekness is having tghe courage for faith to act with love, patience, forgivening other and oneself.
In looking up meekness, two of it’s definitions are: gentle and kind.
From this comes to mind, a depiction of a shepherd, carrying a lamb
and watching over his sheep. The gentleness and kindness that
this shepherd shares is of Love and caring – qualities that transcend
any sort of ego or pride. The innocence of young children brings
about this purity and loveliness, also. And as Jesus had guided us
to become like little children, this meekness, surely is a good quality
to try to live by.
