My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.
If a poor decision by another person entices you to get angry, consent not! Love instead.
If a selfish desire remains unfulfilled, and you start to blame another person for not fulfilling it, consent not! Love instead.
If gluttony tempts you to overeat, consent not! Fill up on truth and love.
If laziness tempts you to fritter away your time with nothing to show, consent not! Use your time wisely. Do something productive.
If material mindedness entices you to sit in a daze, feeling sorry for yourself and wallowing in darkness, consent not! Seek out spiritual mindedness. Seek the Light of God and mentally stand in a consciousness of Truth and Love that is full of joy and purpose.
Sin is wrong thinking, the opposite of right thinking. It’s not your friend! Stay away from it. Don’t be enticed by its deceits.
Pursue Truth and Love. They are your best friends, and keep you healthy and happy.
What a wonderful concept ! A real daily structure to build on . We can know that which is of God – good and it is not difficult to say (immediately ) – “ I do not consent “ – we can all do that . So much easier than spending time “ analysing “ the seeming problem .

A wonderful experience today. I had to go to court as one half of a road traffic accident over 2 years ago. I felt she ran into me. She claimed I reversed into her. I was dreading it. All the time the barristers were negotiating as we were in the waiting area, I was holding to the truth that we are all children of God, without dissent, and that God is king, judge and lawmaker. A long story here cut short, but the situation was resolved in the most unexpected way to the satisfaction of both parties. I am so grateful for Christian Science. Linda x
