  1. Pontius Pilate asked Christ Jesus:
    “What is truth?”

    The question for the Ages.

(Jesus did not answer Pilate, choosing instead to show him truth, by his (Jesus’)
    actions, his life….)

Do we not each “decide,” moment by moment, by our thoughts, words, actions?
The ones with the most truth “wins”….is most loving, peaceful, spiritually powerful…

But in Truth–in God–there are no contests.
    Truth is always The Victor.

Truth? I rather think mankind admits, in the final analysis:
    Truth is divine Love.

What is “Love?” one might then ask.
Do we not each live what we believe divine Love is, by our thoughts, words, actions?

Hmmmm “I see by my outfit that….”

    “Shepherd, show me…”

    1. I have been striving to learn what the ‘grand necessity of existence’ is that Mrs. Eddy refers to in Science and Health on pg. 560

“The great miracle, to human sense, is divine Love, and
the grand necessity of existence is to gain the
true idea of what constitutes the kingdom of
      heaven in man.”

      It is a wonderful exploration!

  2. Simple yet profound. Thank you Evan.

And thank you Maximo for the short sweet poem. (What do you think about: Reflecting Truth, We sing along…” (=

  3. When criticism and condemnation knock at my door I am learning to ask, “What is the Truth about me right here right now? “ If I stick with it and don’t allow carnal mind to answer me I sometimes get the sweetest answers. For me it is a moment by moment journey, I tend to get lost in the big questions. Often the Christ has spoken to me and I am always struck with the simplicity of it. As Christian Scientists I think the tendency is to over think things. What is Truth? No one really knows that but we can know the Truth of this moment or situation or circumstance. I am Loved is so simple we skim right over it, past it and dig a gigantic “What is it? hole. Or I do anyway ! I’m learning to simplify my spiritual unfoldment. When a student ask Mrs, Eddy how to be a better healer she once answered, “Love, Love, Love. Just Love.” Or something quite that simple.

  4. Thank you Evans, my journey seeking Truth has been difficult and confusing at times, yet when understood it is wonderful. Indeed, Truth is Divine Love and I am the offspring of this Love and once acknowledged and accepted, Life begin a new journey of good, wonderments and happiness knowing as an offspring of Divine Love, I am and have nothing but all that proclaims Love in my experience.

  5. Thank you Evan, for the great reminder – yes will do – seeking Truth is seeking GOD to understand Him better and better – with all our heart ! 🙂

Thank you Shirley – thats true what you say and very freeing 🙂

  6. Thank you Evan. This came to mind;
“When all fleshly belief is annihilated, and every spot and blemish on the disk of consciousness is removed, then, and not till then, will immortal Truth be found true, and scientific teaching, preaching, and practice be essentially one.” Retrospection and Introspection Pg. 94:14-17

To me, this means letting go of our human history, human conventions, human judgements, human theories that we accept because of the 5 senses and the lie that we are material. Shutting down mortal mind. And then, seeing our true history – “His story.”
