What a great question. I’ll tell you a secret: I disregard those imaginary lines when it feels like they’re constricting my heart. For example, I refuse to root for countries to win sports tournaments or wars or chess matches or musical competitions. Instead, I root for everyone to be a winner by being a peacemaker!
I find myself erasing artificial lines, one by one, whenever I put myself in God’s sizeless shoes — and in the shoes of my fellow-beings, who society often arbitrarily places on the OTHER side.
One Mind can’t draw lines that separate some of its ideas from other of its ideas. This Mind loves all of its ideas equally. And so do I.
