Admit only what you want to manifest

“Not muscles, nerves, nor bones, but mortal mind makes the whole body ‘sick, and the whole heart faint;’ whereas divine Mind heals.

When this is understood, we shall never affirm concerning the body what we do not wish to have manifested.”

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 219

If you want to stay healthy, spend less time watching the body and more time watching your thought. Keep out of thought beliefs and conditions you do not wish to have manifested on the body.

Keep thought filled with ideals of Truth and Love. Know perfect God and perfect man. The mental images these realities produce keep you healthy and well.

  1. Thanks Evan – especially valid at Christmas time when attention should be on all aspects of the Christ.

  2. “If you want to stay healthy, spend less time watching the body and more time watching your thought! ”

    A recipe for health!

  3. Thanks, Evan, for a very timely message. I am currently working with the idea that animal magnetism, even if not malicious, or aggressive mental suggestions expressed by a loved one though motivated by caring, can have no effect whatsoever on me. God is absolutely the only Cause and Creator as stated in Genesis 1.

  4. As Grace said “A recipe for health! Lori, I work on the same thing – mine involving adult children. I know they are expressing love in their way.

  5. Thanks, Evan. I’m trying to see this, not just for myself, but for everyone I meet—whether in the so-called world or in my thought—to see all individuals as the perfect, pure, loving ideas of God. Sometimes it’s a challenge! 🙂 It is fun, though! And it’s a “healthy” activity.

    1. Daphne, I’m doing the same thing, especially when I had a night dream and a person wasn’t acting very nice – and I knew that was all in MY thought. So I’m really practising in the day dream too. I notice how much easier it is to blame others than to change our own thinking – but I know the rewards are greater for the good work – as I do only want to admit to thought what I want to manifest. (Just realised I better start thinking it is easy to change our own thinking and not blame others!)
