“The roughest road often goes straight to the top of the hill.”
~ Unknown
The human mind often looks for shortcuts and easier routes than the path that gets you to the best place the fastest.
Jesus Christ took us straight to the “top of the hill”—to the highest consciousness of Truth possible—and it was a rough road for him to trod with the persecution and crucifixion he faced. But every evil had to be faced eventually, and he chose to get the job done without delay. And his reward was a grand victory over those evils.
Your reward is grand too when you stick to the straight and narrow.
We must demonstrate our belief by walking the path of demonstration to secure our faith that there is one infinite divine Principle, Love, and applying that Principle to our neighbors globally. That is my walk to the “top of the hill.” Thank you, Evan for this insightful post.
Thank you, Evan
Good morning, Evan. Very good reflection today. I am in the daily task of knocking down the tall oak and cutting the coarse granite, as Mrs. Eddy said. So I’m on my way to the top. Small steps of demonstration each day until without realizing I have risen absently over the senses, I have closed the five porticos. Blessings.
Thanks Evan. So true that going straight to the top is best. No sense going round and round the mountain, just go straight up even if the climb is difficult. Your daily posts start the morning off just right.
Thanks, Evan. Yes, sometimes our journey seems long, but if we persist and remain on the straight and narrow path, no matter how difficult it seems, we will reach the top.
I needed this reminder today that as Way-shower Jesus assured me there is nothing to fear – he did it and so can I. Christ doesn’t just walk beside me, Christ is in me making it happen when “I get quiet” and let it Be. What’s not to be joyously grateful for?! Oh Happy Day!!
Thank you Evan – encouraging reminder. Thank you.
Thank you Evan and Patty! Needed this today.
Thank you Evan for this comforting SV of yesterday.
It shows me that we can manage the rough way with the Christ working in us.
needed it today very much.
And thank you Patty for your comforting comment, and of course thank you all for your good comments!
