  1. By always looking for Good we are automatically realising God in our lives…what a great start to the day….than you Evan.❣️

  2. If God is “good” then every day we look for “good” we find God.. if Gos is ever present then we are SURE to find good.

  3. Definition of DAY in the Glossary of Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy:
DAY: The irradiance of Life; light, the spiritual idea of Truth and Love.
“And the evening and the morning were the first day.” (Genesis 1.5) The objects of time and sense disappear in the illumination of spiritual understanding and Mind measures time according to the good that is unfolded. This unfolding is God’s day, and “there shall be no night there.”

God’s day can only bring the unfoldment of good! Thank you, Evan.

  4. Looking for and scanning for and expecting good is a great way to live. God, good is always powerfully present and nothing can change that, though we can seem to get distracted by error’s attempts to pull our attention away from uninterrupted good. Error’s method is to suggest that something is very wrong, or about to be wrong and we’d better think about that and spend a lot of time figuring out how to humanly fix it. That kind of mental activity keeps “mortal minds” very busy.

I’ve read that from a material, evolutionary perspective, early humans were programmed to always scan for potential threats to safety, to search for what could be dangerous or wrong in their environment (such as wild animal attacks), in order to help the human race survive. So- called survival instinct. It’s a very material, mortal perspective, a popularly accepted belief that we still have a natural tendency to look for what’s wrong and worry and think negatively. We don’t have to buy into that kind of belief that claims we have inherited a negative outlook. We inherited only God’s outlook, from divine Mind, which says All Is Well.

I heard this expression once, “Every moment walk around with the expectation that something wonderful is about to happen — because it is.” Can’t remember the source of the quote, but I love the truth it contains.

    1. We’ll said Rose, thank you! And thanks to God, Evan and all for this daily gift of SpirtView ❤️

    2. Rose , Dorothy Riecke, a Christian Scientist gave a lecture decades ago „Wonderful things are happening“ you might like to google it.

      1. Thanks much Evan for every one of your SpiritView blogs. I don’t miss one of them!
My Dad got in touch with Mrs. Dorothy Reike who was the wife of a Christian Science lecturer — back in the 60’s or 70’s. He had heard an audio recording of this lecture. He asked permission to type out her talk “Wonderful Things are Happening.” and she gave permission. Today I Googled for it And you can too: just using
Christian Science Wonderful things are happening Dorothy Reike.
I found this website, where we can read this wonderful talk online. It is at
HEALING UNLIMITED website (a new discovery for me).
        [email protected]
(My main source is The Mother Church at christianscience.com
but this talk is not on JSH.)

  5. We don’t see what we are not prepared to see. Expecting Good, prepares us to see it. Its not always easy to expect something good to happen. It can take work to shut down worry and fear. I think today I will do as you suggest and look for some good. Thanks yall!

  6. We can choose to magnify the good! Find joy in it, cultivate a grandeur sense of even something seemingly small. The truth is when we worry, fret, and are disappointed we are dishonoring and not trusting God. Who wants to do that? How could we do that?! God is our very Life. This has helped me to work harder to express gratitude and a loving childlike sense. And I’m not talking about berating oneself or getting wrapped up in guilt, more like a firm, but gentle reminder to keep moving forward with God.

  7. Philippians 4:8
    Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

    1. Thank you for that translation. I love it. Thank you, Evan and everyone for your posts. Your recent post Evan about gripping made me more alert to this negative type of thinking and checking in myself. Sometimes if everyone is doing it around you, it’s subtly easy to slip into it too. It made me realize how prevalent it can be in society. Our community and world needs our uplifted thought as an example of always looking for, acknowledging the good

  8. Expectancy of Good seems like it’s Prayer;
& love in this week’s Bible lesson where:
-King Darius to Daniel before going in the lion’s den:
“Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee”
-Jesus said before Lazarus was raised from death:
“Father, I thank thee that Thou has heard me..”

& from Science & Health, last Bible lesson citation:
“Let discord of every name & nature be heard no more, & let the harmonious & true sense of Life & being take possession of human consciousness.”

  9. Thanks Evan, it is really important. Am happy I can say I had a good day, a God’s day. I studied the whole lesson, then I sent a mail telling an ebay-seller good news that the device he sent me is now working which seemed to be defekt. And Halleluja, after these blessing deeds there followed the best event, attending a healing Christian Science Testimony meeting in person – how blessed is this day filled with God’s goodness and Love! Yes, I often look at the end of the day what good had happened. And I make clear to me, that every day is a Gid’s day and every hour is a God’s hour. I find that always very helpful, specially when I am sad about something.
I am very thankful to God for the Christ and Christian Science. And I look forward to every day’s SpiritView – thank you very much, Evan for your steady healing uplifts!♡

  10. To those leaning on the sustaining Infinite, today is big with blessings. This is from memory. I declare I am not leaning on person, place or thing for blessings.

  11. Thanks so much Evan for this reminder. Living in Italy as an Anglo Saxon I have had to endevour to search for the good very often and amazingly when I get into that mind set, I always find it.
Often we tend to judge another culture by our own mind set and not with the Mind of Christ.
Thank you Rose…I will look up that article.
I find really getting bible Truths into your spirit helps me focus on the good.
