Be God-conscious rather than self-conscious

What do you think about the most, yourself or God?

If you desire to feel more peace, health, and dominion, think on God.

God is the source of anything and everything good you could possibly have to lead a happy, healthy, progressive life.

As the one Mind of all, God is the source of all intelligent, wise, and creative ideas that inspire improvement.

As infinite Love, God is the source of all comfort, calm, equanimity, and poise, that brings peace of mind and harmonizes relationships.

As boundless Soul, God is the sustainer of individuality that flourishes and prospers us as children of God.

As eternal Life, God is the source of all good health that lasts and endures.

The physical self is a finite, limited, constricted and futile view of individuality. It may have its moments of glory in the vanity of mortal mind, but it inevitably loses its luster and hits a dead end to its limited material sense of things.

The more you think about God, the more you find God’s unlimited possibilities for good as your realities.

Steer away from focusing on the finite and limited. Focus on the infinite and unlimited.

Think on God, and soar to the heights of heaven with boundless freedom and buoyant joy.

Be God-conscious, rather than self-conscious.

  1. Wonderful start to the day! Thank you! Made me think of Enoch: “.all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
(Genesis 5:23 all, 24) I like to think that Enoch walked with each of the synonyms of God, Life, Truth, Love, Soul, Spirit, Mind, Principle, all the time, and look at the result! Inevitable……Starting now!

  2. Thank you very much, Evan, you made my day.It is a beautiful and an everlasting beauty we all have.

  3. Thanks, Evan! This is CS in a nutshell. Love the line “steer away from focusing on the finite and limited and focus on the infinite and unlimited.” When I do, this is when I have insights that make me free and joyful.

  4. This is pack full of wisdom, insightful spiritual understanding and meaningful life guidance. Excellent! Thank you, Evan. This post is most helpful.

  5. What a beautiful declaration of God’s abundance, Evan. Thank you
so much. With God, all… ALL things are possible for Good. The seeming lacks of today ~ freedom, free speech, finances, meaningful
relationships, happiness, etc. are all in abundance in God/Spirit if we
focus on the infinity of all things God provides.
This is so helpful to hold on to these thoughts of the unlimited.

  6. Thank you Evan!
I was in the break room at work one day when an employee walked in and greeted another employee friend of his with “Praise Him!”. What a wonderful greeting! This employee always glorified God by expressing love with being thoughtful, helpful and kind. It’s also been a great reminder to me of how important it is to “Praise Him!” throughout my day. In case you missed it on JSH-Online last week, an article by John Biggs that references praising God:

    1. Thank you J for your comment and for sharing the John Biggs article. I agree with you that “Praise Him!” really sums up very concisely what our approach to every day should be. And I always enjoy John Biggs articles/talks and this was no exception. So thanks again!

      1. You’re welcome RH. And thank you very much for your comment below on “manifesting”. It’s given me new insight into the Scientific Statement of Being…”all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation”…I pause now to think more deeply about that.

I always enjoy John Biggs articles/talks too, so this gives me another opportunity to also include his article 🙂 : “Praise God!”:

  7. Thank you Evan. I love your message for today!

Your message made me think about the fact that “Man” is the “Manifestation of God”. Each of us, as individual examples, expressions, identities, of God’s idea Man, Manifest God. By keeping our thought focused on God, we will naturally reflect (manifest) God in our actions. The manifestation of something (e.g., Man) can never be separated from what is being manifested (e.g., God).

Webster’s dictionary defines “manifesting” as ” Showing clearly; making evident; disclosing, displaying.”.

Romans 1:19 (KJV) Because that which may be known of God is *manifest* in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

  8. Beautiful, just beautiful Evan❣️

In Prose Works Mrs Eddy says…’ You possess sovereign power to act and think rightly, and that nothing can dispossess you of this heritage and trespass on Love.’

  9. Thank you Evan. Being conscious of God is being composed, thus enjoying the beauty of Life.

  10. I really love this, Evan, thank you! What a wonderful, clear reminder of our truth of being. As children of God, we each have the duty to “stand portal at the door of thought.”

  11. Evan, your post today reads like poetry, it is beautiful.

I liked the question, “what do you think about the most, yourself or God?” If we think about our true Self, as God made us, then we can’t help but be thinking of God, our creator. But often (too often) my thoughts revert to a material “me.” That’s when I “hit a dead end,” as Evan so aptly put it. Then I can turn back to God and return to my natural, peaceful state. Thank you!

  12. Evan, May I ask you : would you mind to write in the same way on the 3 others synonyms Truth, Principle and Spirit ? It will be so helpful to me and to the Spiritview friends. ( just asking…;-) )

  13. That’s a real and wonderful spiritual lesson that God is our only consciousness. And it is a strong and perfect, loving and healing treatment!
It’s so very helpful! Thank you very much, dear Evan♡
