“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

~ Oscar Wilde

Not a selfish, think-only-about-what-you-want, could-care-less-about-another self. But your immortal self, replete with love, openness, honesty, care, generosity, confidence, integrity, and truth.

Be the glorious, unique and special reflection of God you were divinely designed to be, not a compromised version of what mortal mind would lower you into being.

  1. Thanks for this lovely inspiration. Its so important to be true to our self and to be selfless, righteous, good, honest, generous, loving and forgiving.
We are the reflection of God. If we know and understand this fact, we will be guided and supported by the divine wisdom to always care for another and express honesty and integrity in all our dealings, to be upright and Godlike.

  2. “Divinely designed”–what a packed phrase! The Golden Text from this week’s Christian Science Bible lesson states: “I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made”.
(Psalms 139:14–Holman Christian Standard Bible). Rejoice! It’s true!

  3. Thanks, Evan! Love that quote and your spiritual interpretation of it! I also Love how Christianity and Christian Science are really all about, “Being Born Again” – even tho’ that can often sound a little “hokey”! Love the journey of waking up to who and what we really are and always have been! What a Trip!

  4. Thank you, Evan.

To thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
    —William Shakespeare.

  5. Thank you Evan. This is great to think about.
How reassuring and comforting to realize we are truly a bundle of glorious heavenly qualities- perfect, harmonious,, pure and free now.
