Begin rightly when in prayer

June 16, 2021 | 21 comments

“To begin rightly is to end rightly.”

~ Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 262

To end with something good, be sure to start with God, the sum and substance of all good!

Begin with Spirit to find spiritual joy.

Begin with Life to find eternal existence.

Begin with Love to find harmony and peace.

Begin with reality to find health.

Begin with Truth to find spiritual healing.

Begin with God to end with God, the home of all health, harmony, peace, and life to begin with.

  1. Thank you so much Evan, I have been immersing myself in uplifting short bursts of SpiritView videos on YouTube and finding them so helpful!

I love the last sentence in this paragraph too, “Cause does not exist in matter, in mortal mind, or in physical forms.”

You bring the joy of Spirit to our day with your wonderful view ♡

  2. Merci infiniment Evan pour ces belles pensées qui me permettent de garder la pensée élevée tout la journée. Je vous écrit depuis la France et me suis abonné depuis peu, j’attend chaque jour avec impatience vos beaux messages. Encore merci et belle journée.

  3. Thank you Evan.
After reading the list of how to begin I remembered an old humorous photo of a sloth sitting down, with this printed below its picture.. “I’d be wonderful, if I could only get started.” Begin for me is Be-G(od)-In.. whatever I am trying to accomplish in my day. Your reminder list is perfect for beginning with Spirit, Life, Love, Reality and reflecting God in them. I sure appreciate the daily reminders.

    1. That is great, Darlene… your inclusion of God within Begin. I had never thought of that and it is a great way to start any day, hour, minute. Thank you, Evan, for your inspiration today.

  4. To start the day! I usually go for a walk first thing
But read your blog first this morning I appreciate the
message and will begin with God’s active presence
    to guide me.

    1. Gratitude from another Linda! This is my all-time favourite article. I thought of it straightaway when I read today’s SV!

    1. That was wonderful, Angie. Thank you so much. i will remember to express gratitude the next time circumstances appear to be difficult!
      It is genius!!!

  5. Thank you Evan, yes it’s so important to begin rightly, with the truth, not with the “problem.”

Linda, I appreciated being reminded about that excellent Daniel Jensen talk which I’ve heard before, I will listen again; and thank you Angie for “Begin with Gratitude.” I have gratitude for your kindness in always giving us links to wonderful articles that increase our spiritual understanding of the day’s topic. Much love to all of you!

  6. Yes, thank you very much for this wonderful and important reminder dear Evan! However, starting the day with the study of our weekly lesson sermon and then praying for God’s guidance covers all the starting points for the day, Evan is proposing us to do.
When I finished reading the whole lesson I felt uplifted and ready for a God’s day of progress and love and healing. I had a nice little chat with my one neighbor. My day ended with a church visit and thanking God for guidance and spiritual progress.
Am grateful for SpiritView and all the wonderful comments – thank you all!♡♡♡

  7. I expect that I also receive the SpiritView of today (17th June). It was announced under “newer”, but then regrettably was gone.
Dear Evan, could I get it in my inbox of my email, please? Am grateful for SpiritView! !!♡

  8. This post dtd 16 th is the last I received, any help to receive yesterday’s and today’s posts will be most appreciated! Going to website did not help more.

  9. Thanks so much. I had to come to the website today to get this. Like Martine, the 16th was the last time I received an email. Nothing can interrupt the flow of good to God’s children.

    1. Thank you Curran for your statement of Truth that “nothing can interrupt the flow of good to God’s Children.”

Uta, I also briefly saw the post dated June 17 yesterday, but then when I went back to it, it was gone.

Evan must be having some technical glitch, but let’s hang in there and continue know that all is well, and his desire to uplift this community with spiritual truth is supported by God. Blessings to all of you dear Spiritviewers.

      1. Yes, Rose there was a glitch, I was informed, after I asked. The SpiritView Team is working on it.
We know that God has already the solution for this, as our Father-Mother God will always meet our needs, as He/She always has done!- lots of Love !♡
