Don’t be afraid of disease

If you want to stay healthy, harbor no fear of disease.  Don’t be afraid of it!

Disease is not a power to fear.  It’s an error to be knocked out of consciousness with spiritual truth.

Jesus Christ taught, “Know the truth, and the truth shall make free” (John 8:32).  Disease is not truth.  It’s not your reality with God.  It’s a lie about you as a child of God, and the only attention it should command out of you is the kind of spiritual attention that knocks it out of consciousness until it is obviously not the reality it claims to be.

And a healthy first step to success is to have no fear of it!

Don’t fear unreality.  Honor reality.

When disease appears real, the demand is not to cower in fear, but to get busy and figure out what is real.

Health is real!  Life is real!  God is real!

Focus on understanding what is real.  Focus on reality.

Mary Baker Eddy reminds us, “When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 368).
Perfect!  That’s what we want to see—disease gone.  And it doesn’t disappear when we fear it.  It disappears when we forget it and embrace our spiritual reality with God—which is harmony, peace, health.

Harbor no fear of disease.  Love God instead and leave all fear behind.

  1. Dearest Evan. Here you’ve covered the whole of our healing ( revealing true life ) mission.
This is a wonderful ‘treatment’’ for which I am truly grateful. Spirit View is the caring sharing of Gods omnipotence…man’s birthright.
‘’From sense to Soul my pathway lies before me..’’
    Love to all.

  2. Thank you Evan!! Wonderful treatment for me and all mankind. SV is such a blessing!

    1. Appreciate this spiritView.. It comes at a time I need to remember what is real. Thanks for the reminder.

  3. What a picture of peace, contentment ,
a Spiritual-view. Seen on her face.
Spiritual view -ing is what is needed to
    knock error out of thought.
    Thanks Evan for sending wonderful
Spiritual viewing points of God and
    our true identify, His

  4. Thank you dear Evan . This is so essential for now with so much on the news about disease. Thank you again for this important reminder for all of us to be knowing

  5. Much thanks to SW, Evan and Joshua both of you pointing to Scripture and Science and Heath where all healing lies.

  6. This is a passage from Science & Health I find helpful in dealing with fearful suggestions:

Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love.

The Apostle John says: “There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casteth out fear. . . . He that feareth is not made perfect in Love.” (SH 410:14)

  7. Love the calm contentment and lack of dis ease depicted in this photo
and the message of not being afraid of dis ease of any kind. What you
shared, Maggie – – “Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The
more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the
stronger should be our faith and the purer our love” … is so inspiring and
true. The mortal senses seem to throw all sorts of challenges at us, but
our spiritual viewpoint is what is needed to see us through to a peaceful
place where Love is ever-present no matter where we are or what we
    are doing.

  8. Thank you Evan! You’ve stated the truth so clearly for us all today!

Have you ever noticed how we use different words to describe the same thing? A Christian Scientist when healed might say something like “I was healed by the Christ!” But if this same Christian Scientist is a First Grade Teacher, they might tell their student that just corrected a mistake in addition “I’m glad you realized the correct answer!” I wish we used the same lingo for both because then it might make it clearer that a healing of disease is just correcting an error with the truth. No different than correcting “2+2=5” or “2+2=3” or “2+2 is not 4” with the Christ truth of “2+2=4”. “2+2=4” is a manifestation of God and that’s the definition of Christ. As Evan pointed out, disease (or accident, relationship problem, or whatever is unlike the effect (manifestation) of God) is just an error like an error in addition. We don’t fear an error in addition…we uncover it and then correct it with the truth (Christ). And when we do that we do it with 100% conviction! So we can just as easily do that in all aspects of our thinking, whatever lingo the mortal mind may use to describe the error!
