Expect quick inspiration

November 13, 2025 | 25 comments

A woman was fretting to me about a long list of problems she needed resolved in her life.  And then lamented, “It’s going to take a long time for me to pray about these problems and get them resolved.”  I quickly chimed in, “Absolutely not!  It doesn’t take a long time to pray, and it doesn’t require a long time to be inspired.  You can be inspired quickly!  Mind is always speaking to you.”

It’s true.  It doesn’t have to take hours and days of study and prayer to be inspired with healing truth.  You have a direct connection to God.  In fact, more than a connection, you and God are one.  God’s Mind is your Mind.  Your mind is divine Mind!  Which means that God’s thoughts are your thoughts.

God’s thoughts are always present to your spiritual sense of things, ready to be discerned and benefited from.  Time has nothing to do with anything.

So, when you study and pray for healing inspiration, expect it to come quickly.  Like oxygen in the air.  Under normal circumstances, it’s always with you.  You breathe and have oxygen.

Prayer is breathing with God.  God is always with you, and you are always with God.  Open thought to healing truth and let it flow in rapidly.

Expect quick inspiration.

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer” (Ps. 61:1, NKJV).

    1. All is Infinite Mind! This is my daily – every second of the hour thought! – Comforting for me and I’m always knowing I’m surrounded by God’s Love and Support! Thank You Evan for this!

  1. Thank you Evan, just what I needed! “Prayer is breathing with God”. I will hold to that
    Ken thank you for sharing your poem,it is one I have shared with several people.

  2. Earlier this week, A Daily Lift by Martine Blackler, a practitioner from South Africa, mentioned “a deep-drawn breath fresh from God.” In her healing message. (The Universal Power of Divine Love)

    Miscellany 195: 20-24 Christian Science is at length learned to be ………………………….,, a deep-drawn breath fresh from God, by whom and in whom man lives, moves, and has deathless being.” Ahh!

      1. So beautiful❣️
        I was particularly taken with the fact that “the deep-drawn breath fresh from God”
        Is available and applies to everyone. – It is “OUR Father” ❣️ (My capital letters)

  3. Beautiful inspiration! Thank you one and all. The CS Daily Thought today:
    (from Psalms 98:1) … “O Sing unto the Lord a new song” , along with the
    inspiring message from above and lovely poem and graphic (Thank you, Ken)
    gleaned words from the hymnal.

    (From Hymn #269)
    “Our God is Love, unchanging Love, And can we ask for more?
    Our prayer for Love’s increase is vain; ‘Twas infinite before,
    Ask not the Lord with breath of praise For more than we accept;
    The open fount is free to all, God’s promises are kept.
    Our God is Mind, the perfect Mind, Intelligence divine;
    Shall mortal man ask Him to change His infinite design?
    The heart that yearns for righteousness, With longing unalloyed,
    In such desire sends up a prayer That ne’er returneth void.
    O loving Father, well we know That words alone are vain,
    That those who seek Thy will to do, The true communion gain.
    Then may our deeds our pure desire For growth in grace express,
    That we may know how Love divine Forever waits to bless.”

  6. Thank you, Evan! Ive been thinking about inspiration is the Holy Ghost , (ghost comes from pneuma, wind), its divine inspiration coming to our thought. It’s as natural as breathing. We breathe in Gods angel messages and what we exhale is seeing, experiencing God’s presence expressed.

  7. Grateful for a powerful message today and wonderful comments, poem, articles and love emanating from this dear community. Thank you all!

    Evan thanks for the reminder that healing inspiration can come quickly. The idea that prayer must take a long time and be hard work is error. Also loved, “God’s Mind is your Mind…. God’s thoughts are your thoughts….Prayer is breathing with God.”
