I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
(I Timothy 2:1–5)
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
(Psalms 46:10)
Also there is a lot about LETTING God govern – LET
God guide us, LET God do His own work. So we
need to get quiet and still in order to hear what
God is telling us, that we may be witnesses to
what God is doing for us and as us.
This can be quite a challenge at times,
but by persevering we know we know that God
will help us to do this.
The Logos of eternity declares itself,
its power:
It is Love—embracing the cosmos with
its dictation.
We feel its presence by hearing,
knowing:
We are God’s thoughts.
The fresh breath of Spirit blows away the
chaff and dream of mortality—
So let’s harvest the abundant field of
present perfection,
Gather the full-grown wheat,
Understand the fullness of what we
already are, of all that is.
The rustle of inspiration speaks:
We share the freedom of infinity.

A lovely poem by KenCooper, as always – his poems are all really inspiring, and are always helpful
to me. What stand out for me in this oe is that God
is declaring Himself, and that is why we need to really listen. Thank you J for posting it.
So refreshing to hear a quote from Ram Dass, a famous “new age” spiritual teacher and yoga philosophy guru. His most known book was called Be Here Now. I didn’t expect this on a CS website but I know that Evan is open to finding Truth and Wisdom wherever they may be. That idea made me think of two things Mrs. Eddy recognized::
“Whatever inspires with wisdom, Truth, or Love – be it song, sermon, or Science – blesses the human family with crumbs of comfort from Christ’s table…” (S&H p.234)
“Whatever holds human thought in line with unselfed love receives directly the divine power.” (S&H p. 192)
Notice she used the word “whatever,” meaning that truth can speak to us in many ways and sometimes from unexpected places.

Thanks Maggie, that quote is a favorite of mine and the perfect addition to our thought for today.
In the stillness, mortal mind cannot invade, but rather we are at rest in our natural state, hearing only God.
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know
Be still
