Thank you, Evan! This reminds me of: “Gratitude is Riches”! The more we acknowledge how Abundant the Goodness of God is, the more we see and experience it! Humanly, the natural pull is to focus on what we don’t have and to bemoan our fate. But in Truth, we learn that Reality is God’s Ever Present Goodness and Love. I’m choosing to focus on Reality today as Reality Heals!
Mary Baker Eddy asks the question: “Are we really grateful for the good already received? Then we shall avail ourselves of the blessings we have, and thus be fitted to receive more.” (Science and Health page 3:22) She goes on to say that “Action expresses more gratitude than speech.” When we love our neighbors as ourselves this is one form of action we need to express continuously.
Hymn #3: “A grateful heart a garden is, where there is always room, for every lovely Godlike grace to come to perfect bloom.”
What an abundance of flowers we are blessed to continually have in our garden of thought. Ever blooming, colorful, overflowing in beauty, nurtured and grown by God. My gratitude for so much grows daily even if temporary weeds try to crowd out my beautiful bouquet.
The weeds are usually so easy to spot in their lack of beauty, but sometimes camouflaged that we do not see them at first; but our Father gives us His gardener tools so that we can root out the sometimes brief seeming beauty, tear out the ugliness, stop the watering of those weeds and make room for our Gratitude Garden of Thanks grow, thrive, blossom and bless all.
A favorite testimony I heard at one Thanksgiving has always stayed with me…”I’m so grateful to be grateful .” Every day we see God with us. I always say “Thank you. God!” He is always there!

Be great full for what God gives and receive more is the only way to beat evil. There is no other.
