How does Christ save us?

April 14, 2010 | 4 comments

Christ, to me, is the presence of and power of God at work in our lives.

Christ is more than a person. Christ is a power, a divine influence that is ever-operative.

To be saved by Christ is to experience the healing power of divine Love freeing us of fear, false belief, disease, sin and death.

To be saved by Christ is not to confess one’s loyalty and then pursue selfish wants.

To be saved by Christ is to live morally and spiritually right.

Christ is the omnipresence of divine Love loving us, caring for us, protecting us, guiding and guarding us.

Christ works through thought, in our mind, uplifting, inspiring, elevating and leading the way to better higher views of spiritual reality.

Christ is the mind of God at work on our behalf, full of wisdom, intelligence, inspiration, right ideas and spiritual concepts.

Christ is the truth about God and the universe.

Christ is our life, strengthening, enlivening, and moving us forward.

Christ includes all the goodness of God that makes life good for us.

Christ is God in us, with us, about us, around us, upholding us.

Christ is God manifest.

With Christ, all things are possible, because with Christ, there are no limits, no barriers, and no obstacles to improvement.

To be saved by Christ is to feel and experience the freedom, joy and health that come from living true to our spiritual individuality and manifesting our true self as God’s image.

God, man, and Christ are one—not one in quantity, but one in quality.

Christ is the hug of God, comforting us, caring for us and ensuring our safety and well being.

To be saved by Christ is not to wait until something miraculous happens in the future. It is to accept the infinite love and care of God at work in life today meeting all needs without fail. This is what Jesus proved and the legacy he left for us to learn from.

Truly, in Christ, all is well. There is no sin, disease or death to battle in Christ. That war has already been fought and won by Jesus. It’s our turn to accept what Jesus Christ has already shown for our benefit and be free in Christ now.

Accept Christ as your Savior and find freedom today.

CHRIST. The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error.” Mary Baker Eddy

  1. Thank you, Evan. I especially love the thought that “Christ is God in us, with us, about us, around us, upholding us.” Today I will be especially proactive in welcoming the Christ into my consciousness and my heart. 🙂

  2. wOw, this is very powerful and just what I needed today! I’m going to print it and keep it at my work desk.
    Thanks, Evan!

  3. Thank you for sharing those beautiful thoughts about the Christ with us. It really fit in well with this week’s Bible lesson! Expanding our concept of the Christ is most helpful, especially when we are really striving to live in line with the spiritual definition of it.

  4. well those are further helpful words towards strenghtening the concept of “The Christ”,which to be honest, I used to and well i guess kinda still do in a way, wonder why this term “the Christ” existed…there is mrs.eddies definintion from the textbook you quoted, which is a base line for what the christ means, but every practioner ive talked to seem to have their own definition or comment on what the christ is.

There is God and their is our relationship to him, that what Christian Science is susposed to all about basically i think…and is that relationship…also referred to as the Christ? one early definition i heard about the christ i think it was from sunday school..was that the Christ was how each of us represents God in our own unique way….our unique way of expressing Her qualities of Divine Love and Inteligence and caring and dilligence and whatever could be considered a postive quality of character…that is rooted in SPIRIT but refected by us in our own individual way.

anwyho…i have heard the Christ be referred to as Spirituality taken into action….thoughts something happeneing…in our human experience…..

also heard connections to the word Grace…another word im not sure how that is defined exactly via the C.S. was of thinking….is Grace just a refined way of acting and thinking or is it some other deeper thing.

    comments welcome.
