How good can things get?

January 16, 2012 | 3 comments

On occasion, the economic news pouring over the media is depressing, disheartening and discouraging. Woes in Europe, gridlock in Washington D.C., a bloated real estate bubble in China, government budget cutbacks, and more, can paint a dismal picture.
“How bad can things get?” is a theme many doom and gloom peddlers love to pontificate on.
It’s important to defend our thinking from prolific negativity if we wish to stay successful and strong!
I prefer to ask, “How good can things get?,” rather than dwell on the contrary.
God is good. God is everywhere. God’s good is built into our being and destined to be expressed, lived, demonstrated and manifested fully by us.
To increase our demonstration of God’s goodness, thought needs to be focused on the direction we wish to take. It can’t be looking down in a hole of darkness and despair and take in the bright wholesome light that comes from above.
So, don’t be looking down. Look up! Look up to your Source, your Creator, your Maker.
God has only good in Mind for you! And it is unlimited, infinite, without end.
With God taking the lead in your life, things can get really really good!
How good? Totally good. That’s what life is—magnificently, completely, wholly and beautifully Good.
Life is Good.  And it’s yours to live.

  1. Evan, wonderful lifting blog today! Do we claim the material belief of things (world picture) or do we claim the spiritual fact as our reality? I love the line:looking into the dark hole and ignoring the light from above…sorry rephrased, but the point is: looking to the source of Good away from the “problem” is the answer! Loved this, thank you!

  2. This is certainly evidence of God speaking to me today! I’ve been battling a frightening financial picture and this message to stop looking at that picture and focus on how good it can be (focus on God only) is exactly the answer. Thank you for listening and sharing those thoughts with us today!

  3. Pondering this article reminded me of a something from another of your writings that the quality of our thought determines the harmony of our experience. What came to me very vividly today was that the one Mind supplies our every good thought.
