How to find more peace

Would you like to find more peace in your life? It’s possible.

Let me tell you how I found peace that sticks.

I recorded this video while Kathy and I were on our road trip to Alaska last September. It’s part of my series on “The healing benefits of Christian Science.”

“To know God is to know peace”

  1. “You can find this God of peace in the teachings of Christian Science. ” Yes, finding peace must be our goal. Healing and meeting of the needs must follow, I presume…Thanks Evan.

  2. Thanks, Evan. Nothing could be more true. Since God is Love and fills all space there has to be peace. Our only need is to turn and walk in that direction…accept that fact.

  3. Thanks, Evan. What a beautiful place! I had a healing once when praying for a sense of peace and discovered that one of the definitions of peace is health. “Let there be health on earth and let it begin with me.” Hymn 521

    1. Love that thought Joy! “Let there be health on earth and let it begin with me.” Perfect for this season especially. (=

  4. Beautiful! And so much appreciated. Thank you for this, and Kathy too, for all these inspiring Alaska videos. Today I feel the calm and peace permeating me and all. I will watch this frequently over the holiday weeks – and work on growing my spiritual understanding and consciousness for ever more peace.

  5. Thanks for the sense of ever present Love bringing with it peace, “whatever be tide”
Have a wonderful weekend to all.

“And Peace shall crown thy joyful day, come walk with Love along the way”.
Christian Science Hymnal #139 By Minney M. H. Avers. A Christian Scientist.

  6. Thank you for your lovely sharing of peace that comes from God. This is so uplifting and brings much comfort!

  7. Thank you, Evan! I love your videos from Alaska (and hope to get there one day….). Yes, finding and affirming the peace of God is so important, and a wonderful reminder this time of year, when many seem to be “stressed out” with preparations for the holiday. I love what Mrs. Eddy says in “What Christmas Means to Me”: “I love to observe Christmas in quietude, humility, benevolence, charity, letting good will towards man, eloquent silence, prayer, and praise express my conception of Truth’s appearing.” (from The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, pp. 261-264).

  8. Thank you, Evan, for this peaceful message, in word and image.. The peace in your thought and life is tangible. Thank you!

  9. Thank you Evan! I am enjoying your series on “The healing benefits of Christian Science.” How wonderful to feel so much peace and how needed in the world today! And, I love the beautiful lake where you filmed this and your other vlogs – gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this! :):)

As second reader I had an experience full of Love and peace. When I had to read with a substitut first reader he brought the order of the sunday service somehow in a mess. I immediately knew that God is the reader; and then our mutal ready was so harmonious and peaceful. Am so grateful for God’s Love always being with us!
