Be kind to others

October 26, 2016 | 12 comments

“Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

~ Paul, Ephesians 4:32, The Message

Showing care can make a big difference in how well you get along with others today. Be kind to everyone you meet. Be sensitive to their position, their thoughts, their point of view. Listen to what they have to say with an open mind. Respond with words of thoughtfulness, care and love that show you understand and want to help them. Let no resentment form in your thought. Hold no grudge. Love as God loves and be a healing presence.

  1. Thanks Evan for the lovely inspiration. We all need to be kind and courteous, thoughtful and good, not only to our friend circle and to our countrymen but to each and everyone. God sends his sun light on everyone be it an Indian or any other nationality, be it a sinner or an upright person. Similarly love should be universal and not limited. Gods love is infinite – embracing one and all. If we truly claim to walk in the way Christ walked, we need to be kind and good to all. No resentment, no differentiation, no revenge, no grudge but love as God loves.

    1. Nergish>>>>I absolutely love these comments of yours…..
The standard of walking thru the world as Christ Jesus did is assured with the highest form of success demonstrated…..unconditional love

  2. During my daily lesson, very early, I am assured that my thoughts open up to spiritual guidance. This allows me to set the pattern for expressing kindness and love throughout the day.

  3. Yes, it is what we truly are: Divine Love’s expression!

Mortal belief would suggest otherwise, but Truth ever outshines this illusion!

  4. Beautiful, Evan, and Commenters! Getting above and beyond our ego mind can present a challenge…….taking things too personally, wanting to get back at or get even with, etc. All need to be watched and overcome with turning it all over to Divine Love, God! (P.S. I think this Presidential Election Season in the U.S. has been a Grand Lesson for us All!)

  5. I agree wholeheartedly that we must let go of resentments, judgemental attitudes, prejudices, all the etc. of mortal mind, and “pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus.” (S&H 497) I’ve seen the good it brings when we handle and dismiss those disturbing thoughts. Bevi, I also think that correcting our thoughts during this Presidential election is vital for our country. It brings to mind that saying, “One with God is a majority.” Our prayers can only reveal good and are effective.

  6. Feeling God’s Love is the so comforting. I often hug and tell my friends that I love them. I try to send love to those that aren’t in my inner circle. I love and memorized all the words to the hymn “I
Walk With Love”. I’ll sing it in my car
    while I’m driving. I love it’s healing
    message.

  7. I love all the love shared and expressed everyday by Evan and all of the commenters in this blog. What wondeful feelings of love are imparted no matter what time of day or night i read them. Thank you all!
