Know the outcome

When you’re sure of the outcome, there is no fear in the interim.

Seek a spiritual outcome, an outcome you know will be yours no matter what, and temporal fear in the interim vanishes.

  1. One of the most precious things in life is the fact that whatever the seeming ‘’goings on’’…good or bad , happy or sad God is ALWAYS holding our hand , always there with the right solution . We are the loved of Love.
‘’Be still and KNOW that I am God ‘’
    Thank you Evan ..❣️

    1. Thank you for the reminder, Barbara! Considering how this same idea also embraces world events I am moved to include in my prayers how the spiritual focus of thought also addresses the human need for uniform justice in human affairs; to “Be still and know…” the embrace of infinite Love in world events.

      1. Thank you, John H.
Thank you, John H. My heart cries out each day, now more than ever,
“for uniform justice in human affairs.” “ I know evil cannot stand, but I am “despising the shame” in this “interim” time.
My prayer is that no one is beyond “God’s all embracing sphere.” (Sorry, not sure of the hymn #)
        With love to all.

        1. Thank you Evan and all. Thank you, Joyce. That is one of my favorite hymns. The one I found has a little different wording at the end of the first verse, but It fits the theme and talks about the truth that is “already here”. I think is the one you were referring to. Hymn #527:

“Lord, … open his eyes, that he may see,”
          The mighty prophet prayed.
Send not armies great and strong,
          Neither strength to battle wrong,
But lift his vision to behold
          Your truth already here,
          The legions of omnipotence,
          The hosts of Your deliverance.
          Awake, O man, and know
          Love’s all-embracing sphere.

Lord, open my eyes that I may see
          Your presence everywhere,
My dwelling circled by Your might,
          My mountaintop aflame with light,
The shining sentinels of Your love
          Triumphant in this hour.
For You with me are greater far
Than all the seeming evils are.
Be still, O heart, and trust
          God’s omnipresent power.
          (Hymn. 527:1, 2)

          1. Thank you, Pat! What a perfect hymn for the moment and all time! Thank you for including the words for all to read.
(It has a wonderful melody by Desiree Goyette.)

  2. With a spiritual outcome always in mind, we can have nothing but Good in
everything we do or everywhere we go. Thank you for this uplifting thought, dear
Evan .. and Barbara – I love where your wrote that God is ALWAYS holding our
hand. Very sweet and assuring that we always have spiritual support and
a presence of Love with us. Sometimes venturing out can seem intimidating
in a world of aggressive drivers, or into the unknown of the day, but with God’s
Love and spirituality as our focus … we are always guided to an outcome of
Good. What a wonderful way to start the day! : )

  3. Evan, I am really thankful for the topic you have brought up with perfect timing. The lecture “Rejoycing on our present perfection” by Carol Miller C.S. has come to mind in connection with knowing the outcome, which she focuses on as follows:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HRte9eVTUM
“One more idea that I’ve found helpful and would like to share is this passage from Isaiah:
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.
The words that caught my attention were “declaring the end from the beginning”. We know to start our treatment with perfect God and perfect man as the basis of thought and demonstration, but now Isaiah is reminding us to also declare the end from what appears as the beginning of a problem and what is the end, the outcome? We know Truth is always the victor therefore when we start with perfection and we end with perfection, what happens in between? There’s no room for fear or doubt or discouragement, is there? For example, I enjoy watching football on tv. Often my husband records games so we can replay it later and whiz through the commercials. Sometimes, though, I peek online and find out the final score before we have finished watching the game. As the game nears the end, there might be only five minutes left in the fourth quarter and my team is down by two touchdowns, but I’m not concerned. I’m not worried. I have no doubts. I know the outcome and can calmly sit back and watch the end of the game confidently. The same is true with our healing work. We know the beginning and we know the end: perfect God and perfect man period.”

    1. Harmony, I am grateful for your contribution of Carol Miller, C.S.’s lecture. Truth is always the victor “when we start with perfect God and perfect man as the basis of thought and demonstration. Even declaring perfection . . . as the outcome.” That Truth struck a note, when put in action. For instance, I “found” by daughter’s box of books this morning, with no thought that I was even looking for the box. . . and there it was, ready to go with her, when she moves house soon.

Perfect God, perfect man. Love guides us all the way!

  4. I am so blessed to be a reader of Spirit View! I know it is blessing all and I want to express my gratitude to all the participants. Thank you dear friend Evan for inspiring the powerful thinking that is taking place here.
