I’ll be lecturing this Sunday, March 10, in Gladstone, Missouri. The lecture, sponsored by Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Kansas City, is called “Prayer that Heals.”

It will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 North Holmes.

If you come, be sure to say hello!

  1. Would it be possible for us to get a COPY of this lecture? I see that you are delivering this lecture in many places across the country, but we are unable to attend any of them.

  2. I too, would like a copy of your Lecture, preferably on UTUBE. Evan, I live in one of the 5 boroughs of New York City, N.Y. and am home bound. I get all my C/S studies via the I-PAD. If this request can be answered, please inform us. Thank you TOBIAS A. WEISSMAN

  3. My lectures are delivered orally, from the heart, and from my experience, so I don’t try to share it by the written word. It’s just not the same. And as of yet, it has not been video-taped for posting on the Web. But if it ever is, I’ll let you know.

    Thx,

  4. Hi Evan

I would like to hear the lecture as well and would be nice to have it right on your blog so anyone can listen. Hopefully it will be easy to do that and thank you in advance, Evan. Bless you.

  5. When I was a child lectures were printed in the newspapers in many of the communities where they were given. Many were printed in the Christian Science Monitor. They were meant to reach a wide audience. I saved many lectures from the paper. When my son was asked to substitute for the church organist in a nearby town, it was his first time to play publicly and he was shaking as I handed him my car keys. I knew there was an idea in one of those yellowed lectures stacked about a foot deep. I ran to the place where they were stored, pulled out the very paper, turned to the very page, and the bottom of the column in which the paragraph was that gave me the exact healing truth. I had not seen that paper in probably 15 years. I lost my panicky fear, and my son and car returned several hours later, and his public playing was launched.
There are several internet collections of Christian Science lectures available. It is good to know we can look up and read those of early workers, and of our own teachers. I recently read one by Dr Francis Fluno, and on the first page was a whole concept that satisfied me, and I did not need the whole lecture. Gold is where you find it.
