Let Mind help you make that presentation

Do you have a presentation to give or a speech to deliver? Let God take the lead.

Whether you are speaking to a packed auditorium, a small group, your boss or a neighbor, when you let the Mind of Love inspire your thoughts and words the outcome of that meeting will be good.

The one all-knowing Mind knows what to say and how best to say it. As a child of God, you have the Mind of God guiding, inspiring and directing your thought. The purpose of prayer is to listen and follow as direction comes.

I’ve done a lot of public speaking over the years, and one lesson I learned on stage was to put self aside and trust the one Mind to give me the ideas and words I needed to deliver a helpful message.

I rarely used notes in my public speaking because they kept me from listening as closely to Mind as possible. If I did use notes, they would be sparse so that the bulk of my attention could be zeroed in on hearing inspiring ideas coming from above, rather than groping at contrived notions coming from the human mind.

Every speaker finds what works for them, but above all, it’s helpful to know that you are not alone when making a presentation. The one Mind is present to inspire, guide and direct as needed.

Mind never comes up short with helpful ideas. Mind never draws a blank, forgets what to say, or has nothing to say. Mind always has something constructive to contribute and progressive to share.

Trust that you know what Mind knows. You reflect the wisdom and insight of the one Mind. You have what you need to make an inspiring presentation!

Trust the one Mind to take the lead and inspire your audience. With Mind guiding your thought and mouth, your talk will be a success.

As Jesus Christ said to his followers, “You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you” (Matt. 10:18-20, NKJV).

  1. Thank you Evan for these wonderful, timely, thoughts. Just what I needed. Relatives that I haven’t seen for awhile, are coming for a visit today and tomorrow. These thoughts were very helpful. “When we let the Mind of love inspire your thought and words the outcome of that meeting will be good. AS a child of God, you have the Mind of God guiding, inspiring and directing your thought. Mind always has something constructive to contribute and progressive to share. ”
I also found the bible quote from ( Matt. 10: 18-20, NKJV) very inspiring.

  2. Amazing timing! I’m taking a few college courses to update my skills & have to create & give a power point presentation this Friday. I read just fine with a set script, but get nervous and fumble all over when I have to speak without a “script” to follow. Really needed this Spiritview today…THANKS!!!!

  3. Thank you, Evan. This can be quite a challenge for many people. I do this when I am about to give a testimony so that I can clearly give witness to my experience fully.

  4. “Trust that you know what Mind knows” is a powerful message for me this morning. I will hold to that idea for a friend asking for prayers for their young child being operated on today.

  5. Thanks Evan – you are clearly a gifted and entertaining speaker – where Mind shows through.

  6. Such perfect thoughts! I have a presentation for Biology class this coming Tuesday. It is on Intelligence, but not the intelligence we know about, so it has given me alot of food for thought.

  7. Evan, this is so timely. There is certainly something to be said about being a member of Toastmasters, an international organization whereby one learns the basics of public speaking but the true inspiration comes from listening to Mind for the message to be delivered to your audience. There has been times in delivering a presentation whether it’s a testimony at church or a business workshop or just a conversation with one person that Mnd has lead me to say something different than what I had outlined to say.
Thanks Evan for this reminder and validation that Mind directs us always. I will share this blog with my friend who is in a speech contest on Saturday.

  8. On the day that this came out, I was preparing a presentation to the reading room attendants to help them understand a new form we fill out. I know that this comes from mind not me. I trust in the mind that presents it and of the outcome it produces. thank you

  9. Having to write letters of comfort lately , I have found
The definition of Mindmost helpful. Thanks Evan for this helpful
    blog

  10. I speak for a living and always encourage questions. There are some time I get questions I really don’t have any idea how I’m going to answer. However I just quietly wait and I surprise myself with what comes out of my mouth. It’s not my knowledge but ideas/suggestions that come through me. I’ve been relying on God consciousness forever and I’ve never been disappointed, as long as I take time to listen.

  11. This could not have come at a perfect time. I have a job interview today and this blog post really helps.

  12. Becoming aware of God’s always perfect timing is certainly in sync this AM with the expedient article from Evan. Tomorrow I have a program to deliver to an organization of which I am a member. This calming article has lifted me up and out of endless evaluation, changing the talk continually, questioning my ability——-to suddenly being so grateful to know that God is in control–not my mortal mind judgmental analysis. The guidance to make a few changes, place in an addition or two has come easily, prayerfully and gratefully. Now I am joyfully looking forward to making this God-guided presentation. My gratitude for God’s perfect control and ditto dear Evan meeting so many needs is a God-given gift this morning.

is an over flowing cup of divine love this morning.

  13. I do a lot of presentations before groups. I review in my mind what I need to tell them. It usually goes very smoothly unless I listen to ‘myself.’. ha ha then I forget everything

  14. Thanks Evan for this reminder that Mind directs us always. This portion of Christ Jesus’s remarks you quoted from Matthew gave me what was needed 50 years ago to speak with ease in front of 25-200 people – although it started with a funeral – “…….for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you” (Matt. 10:18-20, NKJV).

A dear couple who had been married 60 years lived in a home at the end of my street. I was second reader at the time. I was informed by our practitioner (and first reader) that this lady had passed on. Her husband said she wanted me to be the “preacher” at her funeral, as she got so much from my Bible readings. I told the practitioner I had never spoken in front of a lot of people and teared at funerals I did go to, and would have no idea what to say anyway – had only been studying Science for 6 years. She reminded me of the same things you stated Evan,, and to “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy path.” She said she had done a full service a couple of years prior and would be happy to give me the selections she read. I was a nervous wreck day of funeral. After meeting soloist and getting books set up, went in back to get robe and wait for all to be seated. (secretly hoped for small attendance. Was standing room only!! Going down aisle I could only say “Father this will be you speaking through me.” I forgot until a little later to stop for soloist, but when I did stop she was ready. After the service several people came over and said it was the most meaningful service they had ever been too. I could only say to myself THANK YOU FATHER..

  15. Thank you very much, Evan for another so uplifting and inspiring SpiritView!
As I was performIng the testimony meeting with reading etc. yesterday evening , I thought that the ideas of above SV could also be applied as reader. The one all-knowing Mind knows in which Mannes i shall read that it is most understandable and inspiring the audiance in my church.
God is the reader or speaker and enables us, His reflection to speak or read inspired.
Am very grateful to learn and receive really daisy Inspiration, dear Evan. 🙂
