A wonderful spiritually inspired answer,Evan, and found to be true to those who understand and follow the spiritual teachings of Christ Jesus. We do live forever in this understanding, as we put Christ’s teachings into practice in our lives
The following hymn 16 came to mind as soon as I saw
the picture above:
As sings the mountain stream, / Past rock and verdure wild, / So let me sing my way to Thee, / Thy pure and happy child.
O boundless source of might, / My praise must e’er increase, / For Love is Life eternally, / Whose blessings never cease.
I sing my way today, / My heart is joyous, free, / For what is Thine is ever mine, / I find myself in Thee.
Sometimes the concept of eternal Life seems a little abstract to me. But I do understand that the qualities and ideas of God are unchanging and not subject to harm or destruction, such as goodness, love, kindness, harmony, peace, beauty, joy, balance etc. So I guess it’s not a far step to recognize that since He created us and the universe out of all those qualities, and because we are His ideas —what we actually are is also eternal.
Love the photo, makes me remember how much I love being near gently moving water in a nature setting. Represents peace and continuity to me.
Love, love, LOVE your remarks today. Nothing in LIFE can deter you from exploring and understanding clearly “the qualities and ideas of GOD, which are right before us, front and center, as we live and breathe. Your leading me right direct into the next Wednesday lesson which I am to present the last Wednesday in MARCH. Timely, deep, thoroughly, and with high marks for the source, DIRECT from GOD. Your contributions are always a pleasure to read. Thank you ROSE!
Chilesands I thank you very much for your kind words., I enjoy your comments as well I’m glad to hear that anything I said was helpful. Your Wednesday church presentation is being guided by our dear God, as is everything we do, enjoy the moment.
Thank you so much, Evan. This confirms what you said in your recent and wonderfully inspiring Sentinel Watch interview when you asked ‘when does our eternal life start? It doesn’t, we are living it right now. It couldn’t have had a beginning, and it doesn’t have an ending, by its very nature.
This is a beautiful message and love the photo! The flowing stream is like
the eternity of Life. Thank you so much, Evan and All. I am reminded of a dear
former neighbor who lived right next to a loved stream all of her life. In the
summer, sometimes it’s ever-in-motion flow became a trickle, but it always
still persisted in it’s gentle way, as does God’s Love for us all. I remember her
saying one time that if the stream dried up, she no longer wanted to live next to it.
She loved the wildlife that it always welcomed … the water fowl, the deer, the
herons, etc. The very next day after her saying that, there was a hurricane with
about 7 inches of rain, that had it’s banks overflowing. She was so happy.
She is in the “heavens” now, but I’m sure is still loving the eternal flow of the love
of Life “whose blessings never cease.”
Her appreciative thoughts of love for that stream live on and sing in the hearts of
God/nature’s wonders and beauty. Life’s Goodness IS Eternal.
very good ! I am so grateful for this truth. Life span cannot be measured materially. This statement directs to live every moment in spiritual sense devoted to God every moment and cherish spiritual life to be without sorrow and pain. Thank ypu Evan
I have been getting SpiritView in my regular email but for some reason this past week, I can only find it in my junk/spam folder. Is there some way to change how SpiritView shows up in my junk folder and redirect it to my proper email? Thanks!
Hi Sandra, have you tried marking those emails as Not Spam and also clicking Add Sender to Contacts? Those are options on my incoming emails, the wording may be different depending on who is your email provider (mine is AOL).
Open the email in your Spam folder and look for a button that says “Not Spam” or “Appears Secure” and click it. You might have to do this for a few days, but most spam blockers (for example, in Gmail) will shortly stop intercepting messages from that source and let them go through to your regular Inbox.
Thank you Evan! …From out His sacred Word we bid our foes defiance… I like remembering Mary Baker Eddy’s poignant questions concerning eternal Life in her book, Science and Health. Discovering the eternal Stream of Truth and Love! The Key of Divine Science unlocking the imperishable glories of Infinite Love and the healing of the Nations!
I love that. It reminds me of a line I read in an article a while back. A little boy was asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The boy replied, “Me!”
I love that statement, it is so clear and what we are taught in Christian Science. (wherefore did we doubt?)
It made me smile when I read it!
Thank for all your helpful statements.
with gratitude!
Thank you, dear Evan for this divine comfort – God, Love, our Life is eternal, everlasting healthy, joyful and harmonious and strong, full of divine energy! Can I be thankful to have learnt that in Christian Science!
Dear SpiritView Friends, thank you a lot for your loving, inspiring comments! Oh how much is God loving and blessing us all !!♡
Hi Uta, I love the thought you shared that we are “full of divine energy!” That made me smile and it is true and much better than seeking energy in various human, material ways. I declared out loud, “I am full of divine energy, from God.”
Wow dear Rose, thank you. Yes we can feel the divine energy leading us to newness of life, what
MBE says in SH. You certainly remember that this sentence was the toppic of an annusl meeting of TMC some years ago. God gives us needed energy! Thanks for it. ♡
