“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

  1. Acknowledging your spiritual values you will find the compassion for the persons you come in daily contact with and sometimes you will treasure that friendship for many years.

Your profile of kindness and charring will be remembered.

  2. What a wonderful definition of beauty and poise.
If viewed with spiritual eyes, the world surely looks beautiful, adding beauty to the eyes.
Sweet words are like balm and heal many a troubled and disturbed heart, making the speaker of these soothing words appear more pleasant and elegant.
Well poise has to step in when the most gorgeous God walks along by your side. Why? Because When God is by your side fear leaves, worries leave, difficulties leave and what remains is: joy, peace, love, comfort, confidence, freedom and grace.
Thanks Evan for the inspirations growing lovelier by the day. God bless.

  3. Hi… Want to add something…
Sometime back I met a friend who had grown in years but yet looked very elegant, graceful and young. I asked her the secret of her beauty and she said “The beauty of the soul is reflected in the face.” Then she winked and said “Beauty lies in the eyes if the beholder.”

  4. Thanks, Evan, for this! I have been feeling a bit “rifled and ruffled” as of late…..not sure why….maybe just allowing myself to pick up on the general feelings of frustration floating on the popular currents of thought….?? Anyway…..know I need to find my Peace, Love and Joy – the Kingdom of Heaven – from within and then let it shine and glow outward as I walk with Love Along The Way! Thanks ever so much! Love to All, Bevi

  5. You don’t have to be a Christian Scientist to know how to express Love, to have a Relationship with God, to think Good and Kind Thoughts and to be Healed!……… Just an FYI!

  6. Most exquisite holy thoughts…….Just to clarify; Audrey Hepburn was not a Christian Scientist . Her mother claimed to be although it seems strange as apparently she had strong Nazi sympathies. Audrey would not affiliate herself with any organized religion saying graciously that hers was a private affair.

  7. Yes, Bevi. You do not need or have to be a Christian Scientist to express those traits or qualities of true beauty. I have learned this and claimed this for my wife for over 60 years, and she is still beautiful to me for she lives the Science of Christ, which our beloved Master has taught for all mankind to cherish. This I have come to understand makes her a Christian Scientist in thought and deed. She often asks why a stranger appears to look towards her with a smile. I am grateful that I can answer with certainty and assurance that she and all are included in this Divine Science. (My wife loves to hear this reply, as others respond to the beauty she is reflecting.)

Thank you, Evan for bringing this bit of truth to us.
