The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness;
to an opponent, tolerance;
to a friend, your heart;
to an opponent, tolerance;
to a friend, your heart;
to your child, a good example;
to a father, deference;
to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you;
to yourself, respect;
to all men, charity.
to a father, deference;
to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you;
to yourself, respect;
to all men, charity.
~ Benjamin Franklin
Thanks, Benjamin! The world needs this
reminder.
Though it is a stretch to forgive “terrorists,”
I was reminded to reread Mary Baker Eddy’s article,
“Love Your Enemies,” in her Miscellaneous Writings,
page 8. Clears things up, for me.
Truth is here. Just needs us to live it.
Such an important requirement as noted in our Bible Lesson.
When we start with this our day begins and tends to brighten every thing we do.
